I hope you have had a wonderful snow day, Everitt families!
It was a busy week at Everitt this week. Our musical theatre students had their first of three performances for "We are Monsters." This show featured our 6th period musical theatre class. The show was wonderful! Our students developed great characters, performed their choreography so well, and sang so beautifully. I hope that you can make it to one of the rescheduled shows next week. Our 1st and 5th period classes will be (tentatively) performing on Wednesday evening next week. We will send out specific information when we finalize the plan.
Our theatre students also went on a field trip to see Wheat Ridge High School's production of Eurydice. Our teachers were so impressed with the thoughtful questions that our students asked during the talk-back after the play. And our students were so impressed with our Everitt alums who were in the cast and crew.
Our volleyball team had their first game this week as well. Thanks to all of the folks who braved the weather to come out and cheer on our Labs!
We also posted our first quarter honor roll which you can find below. We are so proud of all of our hard working students and especially of those who earned a 3.0 to a 4.0 grade point average for the quarter. We will be celebrating our honor roll students by grade level with a special bagel breakfast in the coming weeks.
Finally, our second information night of the year is this week. Please send friends, family members, and neighbors our way if they would like to learn more about Everitt.
Thank you for supporting and believing in your neighborhood school. It is our privilege to partner with you!

Everitt Campus Supervisor
Congratulations to our own Campus Supervisor, Tina Randle, who won an award this week in our school safety department. We are so grateful for Tina and all that she does here at Everitt. Here is what the department announcement said:
We are excited to announce that in the month of October ten DSS employees have been recognized. Please help me celebrate these individuals that we are lucky to have as a part of the Department of School Safety team:

Tina has demonstrated outstanding initiative, contributing to a positive work/learning environment, and inspiring and uplifting not only her colleagues but her students who are always so excited to see her day in and day out.
Everitt Bell Schedule 2024-25
6th Grade Outdoor Lab Medications
Dear 6th grade families,
Everitt students will be attending Outdoor Lab November 19th through 22nd. Please let us know if your student will require medications during the week. If medications are being sent with students, please remember to have medications in their original containers and that prescription medications must contain a prescription label. All medications being sent to Outdoor Lab require an Outdoor Lab Medication Agreement Form.
We will be accepting all medications for students November 5th through November 15th.
No medication will be accepted the morning of departure on November 19th.
Please outreach our Health Tech Cindy Gordon or our District RN Mary Bateman for further questions or concerns.

Book Study Opportunity
Our book study on the book 10-25:The Science of Motivating Young People by David Yeager. The book is about how to help young people between the ages of 10 and 25 to feel inspired, enthusiastic, and ready to contribute rather than discouraged, outraged or overwhelmed. It is equally powerful for parents, educators, mentors, coaches, and managers. We have a wonderful group of parents and staff members and have powerful conversations each week. We meet on Wednesday evenings at 5:00. Purchase the book, read chapter 6, and join us in the conference room on Wednesday evening!

PTA CORNER
PTA (PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION) CORNER:
Our focus is on building lasting connections between families, getting to know our student’s teachers, and creating opportunities to come together as a community, valuing our diversity and celebrating our differences.
Everitt Pot Luck PTA Meeting - Wednesday, December 4th (psst...it's not really a meeting!):
For our next PTA meeting, we are hosting a community connect Pot Luck! It will be Wednesday, November 6th at 6:00 pm in the Cafeteria (sorry, no Zoom for this one). We would love to see you and any of your family at this fun community evening. It is NOT necessary to bring something, but if you would like to bring something delicious, please sign top for a main, side, or dessert. You must sign up to let us know how many are coming here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050449AAAA22A75-53012890-everitt - we look forward to seeing you all in December!
Holiday Giving Opportunities:
We have baskets and are getting ready to have food ready to fill for "Everitt Thanksgiving Baskets!" If you would like to donate to our Venmo to help add a supermarket gift card please send Venmo to @Everitt-Middle with a note for "Thanksgiving Baskets" or leave cash/check at the office. If we receive more than is needed it will be applied to our Holiday Giving Tree. Keep an eye out for info and a sign-up to shop for presents soon. Check the newsletter or PTA Facebook Page to stay connected and involved in these two meaningful projects. Thank you!
Elementary School Outreach:
5th grade families in our area are visiting middle schools and gathering info about their options this month. Would you be willing to talk to parents at the elementary schools, whether that is by speaking as part of a panel or informally meeting for coffee just to chat with people? If this is something that interests you, please email everittpta@gmail.com. Thank you!
Ways to help raise funds for Everitt PTA:
- Does your employer provide matching funds or are they looking for a community non-profit to donate to?
Everitt PTA is a 501c3 non-profit and would be happy to talk to your employer or help with any paperwork needed. While we focus on community building and not fundraising, additional funds could be put to good use helping to outfit more classrooms with the SmartBoard technology your kids have used in some, and all rooms can make great use of them!
- Have you linked your King Soopers Community Rewards yet?
Help raise funds for Everitt just by doing your grocery shopping! Everitt PTA is enrolled in the King Soopers Community Rewards Program. This is a great way to support the school without spending additional money, all you have to do is enroll and King Soopers will give back to Everitt! 🥦🍎🌽🍊
• Go to www.kingsoopers.com
Once logged into your King Soopers or City Market account go to My account ~ Community Rewards ~ search for Everitt Middle School PTA either by name or FT620 and then click Enroll. New users will need to create an account which requires some basic information, a valid email address and a loyalty card.
Renew or become a member of Everitt PTA:
Provide core support for our PTA by becoming a PTA Member for the 2024-2025 school year. Dues are just $15 and allow us to be part of the state and national PTA networks and have seed money for our PTA projects. Even if you cannot make the PTA meetings regularly, becoming a PTA member is an excellent way to support our school community! To join, complete this form: https://forms.gle/MKp3Fokrn7zSioBY7 and Venmo $15 to @Everitt-Middle. Dues should never be a barrier for participation in PTA, so please email EverittPTA@gmail.com if we may help you with your dues payment.
If you have already signed up, THANK YOU, we will reach out shortly to confirm everything came across well!
Find Us Online:
Check out our PTA page for reminders, important dates and meeting minutes: https://everitt.jeffcopublicschools.org/family_resources/p_t_a , and join our FaceBook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/everittpta

Crew Celebrations From Staff
Bryan D helped set up equipment throughout the gym for our entire class. He helped speed up the process of our pickleball tournament by helping set equipment up and asking if I needed additional help.
Iver M stepped up and lead our crew challenge. He offered different strategies for the team to use and different ways to adjust it to be successful. Iver lead our crew by offering what he noticed during the challenge and ways to improve.
Klara D excelled at our crew challenge by not only being successful herself but offering insight as to different strategies that she thought would work well!
Nick C contributed well to our crew challenge. Nick provided valuable insight and positivity to everyone in class and helped everyone be successful!
I could recognize Orly P for many things but what stands out is that she is ALWAYS respectful to teachers and students alike. She shows her respect by being polite, doing work when she's supposed to, raising her hand when answering a question, and just generally being kind to everyone. I'm grateful I get to teach her this year!
Austin S has been extremely helpful to another student in class. He volunteered to help and he supported that student by helping him understand the task and helped him to figure out answers.
Daisy B, I have seen a HUGE improvement in your work this past week! Thank you for your focus and grit! Thanks for showing such interest in your STEM projects!
