Compass Programs: Trimester 2
Trimester 2
December 2, 2024
Upcoming events
December School Days
Online & TPP students only have 15 days of school in the month of December; 12/2 - 12/20
It is very important to attend everyday as missing school can lead to falling behind. Even a few days can make it harder to catch up. Also, school is a place for social interactions, and staying engaged with classmates and teachers can help you feel connected and prepared for the break.
Winter Break
Mid level - 12/20/24 - 1/1/25
Online & TPP - 12/23/24 - 1/1/25
All staff and students return to school on January 2, 2025!
In District Transfer Applications - Open Now
Anoka Hennepin is now accepting In-district Transfer applications. If you want your student to be considered for a school in the district other than your neighborhood school upon their program completion at Compass, you need to complete and submit the application to the district no later than January 15, 2025. Results will be communicated February 15, 2025 for the first round of acceptance. Parents must confirm commitment by March 1, 2025.
The transfer may be denied if the commitment response is not received by this deadline.
If approved for a transfer, the parent, guardian, or student shall be responsible for the student's transportation. Students must arrive and be picked up from school on time. 3 Lottery rounds will be held for all applications received by the following deadlines. Results will be communicated after each round.
○ Round 1- January 15, 2025
○ Round 2- Mid-April, 2025
○ Round 3- Mid-June, 2025
○ IDT process is closed after Round 3, for the 2025-2026 school year.
Compass Programs Electronic Device Policy
Please review this policy with your student. We have had an increase in personal technology use issues during the school day. The expectations were gone over with all students at the beginning of this trimester.
Personal Electronic devices and cell phones are not needed from 7:30 am - 2:45 pm
Devices should not be seen or heard
If a communication need arises, ask a staff member to use a phone
Violations of the policy may result in the device being turned into the office
Repeated violations will require a parent/guardian meeting
