Superintendent's Letter
Dear Bristol Township School Community,
I hope this message finds you well as we head into the final full two weeks of the school year and look forward to all the fun events and activities that commemorate the conclusion of another academic year.
Over the past month, we have seen students from our Tiger Community shine brightly in everything from compelling speech and poetry competitions to thrilling victories on the spring sports fields. Our dedicated staff members have proudly represented BTSD at conferences and workshops, bringing back fresh ideas and showcasing our district's achievements, and we honored our educators who work so hard on behalf of our students throughout the month of May.
I invite you to take a few moments to enjoy our May newsletter, filled with highlights and important updates, and I look forward to seeing you at many of these very special end-of-year events!
Sincerely,
Michael Nitti

👕 SHIRT OFF MY BACK
Seniors in spring sports nominated a Bristol Township staff member, past or present, who has made a profound impact inside and outside the classroom for Shirt Off My Back!
By awarding a specific staff member, the student recognizes their efforts and contributions. Staff who are selected receive a handwritten letter from their nominator, explaining the reasons for the selection, along with a T-shirt featuring the student’s name.
BTSD Staff Attend Conferences
SNA National Leadership Conference
The School Nutrition Association (SNA) of Pennsylvania nominated Brandon Lang, food service director of Bristol Township School District, as its representative in SNA’s Future Leaders Program. The program was held in conjunction with the SNA National Leadership Conference, held April 24-26 in Columbus, Ohio.
Lang had a great experience at the conference, attending curated educational sessions and two keystone presentations. “The opening session focused on navigating change and challenges with confidence,” said Lang. “Throughout the education sessions, I learned about overcoming self-doubt, the duties and responsibilities of nonprofit board members, and key strategies for becoming a confident leader.”
Verizon Innovative Learning Lab Mentor Summit
April Fox and Corey Sforza, teachers at Armstrong Middle School, attended a Verizon Innovative Learning Lab Mentor Summit. Mrs. Fox was also a Senior Lab Mentor and assisted in running training sessions throughout the summit.
Held in Scottsdale, Arizona, the summit was run by Arizona State University and teachers attended from all over the country. The summit empowered teachers with knowledge of technology tools and instructional models to create environments that are active, collaborative, constructive, authentic, and goal-directed.
