PV's Performing Arts Embodies the 212 Spirit
Titan Band and Jubileers Bring Holiday Cheer to DMAFB
We are incredibly proud that our Titan Band and Jubileers were invited to perform at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base (DMAFB)! Our Titan musicians truly know how to rock the stage and spread holiday cheer. The dedication and discipline it takes to be a musician are evident in every note they play, and our Titan performers set the bar high for what it means to be part of the 212 community. They truly embody the "Go The Extra Degree" spirit, inspiring everyone they encounter!
Jubileers Performed at La Encantada
Way to exemplify the 212 spirit and Go The Extra Degree! Our Jubileers received an outpouring of positive feedback for their stellar performance. A huge shoutout goes to Mrs. Peterson and Ms. Eastman for their tireless dedication in preparing our musicians and vocalists. Their commitment to excellence, along with their efforts to get our performers out in front of the crowds, made all the difference. Thank you for your incredible work!

AVID Trip to U of A
Our AVID Sophomores and Juniors had the exciting opportunity to visit the University of Arizona (U of A), where they toured the Thrive Center and the Guerrero Student Center. During their visit, they learned about the various resources and opportunities available to students. They also had the chance to explore several lecture halls and take a campus tour, which included stops at key locations such as the library.
Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) is an elective class designed to assist students in their academic journey and college readiness. It focuses on equipping students with essential skills, including note-taking, organization, study habits, and time management.

Arizona State University (ASU) Sun Devils are Bold in Gold!
Congratulations to all of these Titans who have already been accepted to Arizona State University (ASU)! ASU is located in Tempe, Arizona and graduates more than 30,000 students each year. Their culture of innovation and inclusion draws pioneering researchers to the faculty and attracts highly qualified students from all 50 states and more than 130 nations. ASU is expanding academic and entrepreneurial opportunities for every type of learner at all stages of life.
We are super proud of our students who have already been accepted, and we can't wait to see how many more Titans will be Sun Devils! Way To Be 212 and Go The Extra Degree!
MLK Scholarship
Great scholarship opportunity!
Coaches For Charity will award up to eight (8) MLK scholarships for students who participate in the essay competition ranging from $100- $500. Interested students must submit essay entitled:
“What Martin Luther King Jr. Day Means to Me“ by Friday, December 13th. Scholarships will be determined by a review committee. Applications must be received by the end of the school day on December 13, 2024. Submit via email to Janet Hare JHare@DTReidPark.com

Cinderella's Closet
On Saturday, December 7th Cinderella's Closet will be holding a Winter Formal dress event at the Junior League of Tucson on 2099 E River Rd Tucson, AZ 85718. This event provides free dresses, shoes, and accessories for formal events! All dresses have been professionally dry cleaned and/or are brand new and they have new shoes and accessories for every size and style!
Our Hoopcoming Dance is taking place on Friday, January 31st and the theme is, Over The Moon! If you are in need of a dress, this is the event for you.

Palo Verde High School has officially formed a Parent / Teacher / Student Association (PTSA). Our officers are Wanda White (President), Stephen Brown (Vice President), Zechariah Markes (Treasurer), and Beth Brungardt (Secretary). The goal of our PTSA is to provide our students, their families, as well as our staff and faculty with a voice to help make our students' school and educational experience as positive as possible. We are looking to help build a sense of community among parents, teachers, and students through social events, family activities, and collaborative projects.
The Palo Verde High School PTSA wants to invite you and your student to become a members. We need both your ideas and input. Your input is not only important but valued. Bell Schedule
Palo Verde High Magnet School has earned a letter grade of B! The letter grades are released annually as an indicator of school performance, with schools receiving "A" grades described as excellent, "B" schools described as highly performing, "C" schools described as adequately performing, "D" schools described as minimally performing and "F" schools described as failing, according to the Arizona State Board of Education.
