Jim Plain Vision
We aspire to be a safe and loving community that empowers students to be lifelong learners who positively contribute to the world.
Hello JPE Pride!
We have so much to be thankful for this week!
Thank you for helping celebrate our hard working teachers this week for Teacher Appreciation Week! Our teachers are the true MVPs, and they work so hard to make Plain a wonderful place to learn. Thank you teachers!! This week was also Nurse Appreciation Week, and we are so thankful for Nurse Alli taking care of our Pride!
Thank you also to everyone who participated in our first ever Multicultural Night! It was amazing to see the artifacts, try the food, hear the stories, see the dances, and learn about the cultures that were represented. We hope all who attended enjoyed the event as much as we did, and we can't wait to do it again next year! Big shoutout to our campus events committee who organized the event!
Thank you to our parents and community members that participated in our Career Day! We thank you for sharing your careers and inspiring our students. We're looking forward to expanding this event to the whole campus next year!
And finally, thank you to our amazing PTA for the Mad Scientist Assembly today! The students were SO engaged, and the presenter brought humor and joy to our students and staff!
We have a lot packed into the last two weeks of school, so please be sure to check out the events below. Our student-led conferences this year are on the last Monday-Wednesday of the school year, so please come whenever works with your schedule so your students can share their learning with you! We'll also have a buy one get one free book fair in the library, so stop by either before or after your conferences for books for summer reading!
Have a great weekend!

In preparation for the last day of school lunch service, Child Nutrition Services is requesting campuses get a headcount for lunch May 23. There are two sack lunch options: turkey & cheese or vegetarian sun butter & jelly sandwiches. You only need to complete this form if your student IS purchasing a school lunch on the last day of school. Please fill out a separate form for each student who needs a lunch.
Please complete this form by Friday, May 16th to ensure your student(s) receive lunch service on the last day of school.
Summer Reading Book Fair
We are excited to host a summer reading buy one get one free book fair from May 19th - 21st! For every book you purchase, you will be able to choose another one for free! The book fair will be open from 7:30 - 4:00. Please stop by when you are here for student led conferences to stock up on books for summer reading!
Before the Fair, make sure to set up eWallet, your child’s digital payment account. Say goodbye to
cash and hello to worry-free, cash-free purchases—and anyone can contribute! Share your child’s
eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give them more books to enjoy. (If you have
more than one child coming to the Fair, you’ll need to create an eWallet for each one.)
Visit our Book Fair homepage to learn more and get started with eWallet:
