We can’t wait to welcome our students and families back! To help you and your child(ren) prepare for school, please review the important information below.

Student Schedules/Class Assignments
Teacher assignments/class schedules will be accessible via Infinite Campus on Monday, August 19, 2024 for all students K-12. This information will not be mailed to homes. Please log in to your Infinite Campus portal account to view the information and update family contact information (including emergency contacts) if needed. Visit the Infinite Campus webpage for more information and instructions. Note: newly registered families created their Infinite Campus account as part of the online registration process.
Schedule for First Week of School
First Week of School
The first day of school for ALL students, grades K-12 is Monday, August 26. Students attend full days of school Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, August 26 -29.
Schools are closed Friday, August 30 and Monday, September 2 for the Labor Day holiday.
School resumes on Tuesday, September 3.
Start/dismissal times for schools are as follows:
Blue Bell and Stony Creek: 8:35 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Lower Gwynedd and Shady Grove: 8:30 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.
Wissahickon Middle School: 7:35 a.m. to 2:25 p.m.
Wissahickon High School: 7:37 a.m. to 2:35 p.m.
Kindergarten Orientation
Kindergarten Orientation will be held on the afternoon of Thursday, August 22, 4:00-6:00 pm. Your child will have an experience with their Kindergarten teacher, an encore/other specialist, and a bus ride. This is a time for us to focus on welcoming our newest and youngest students. We ask that only parents and legal guardians attend Kindergarten Orientation.
Back to School Night
Mark your calendar to join us for Back to School Night (BTSN) to learn more about your student’s class(es), curriculum, activities, assignments and expectations. We will provide BOTH in-person and virtual BTSN to provide families the opportunity to attend the event at school to meet our teachers in person OR watch the presentations by their student’s teachers from home at their convenience! The video presentations for all schools will be available the day after the in-person BTSN.

Bus Schedules
You can find your student’s bus schedule via the Find My Bus button on the WSD Bus Route webpage beginning Monday, August 19. Visit the website for the link and other information, including nonpublic school transportation schedules.
Required Forms
Watch for an email on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 titled “Required Forms for 2024-2025 School Year.” Read each form closely and complete the forms by Friday, September 6.
Required State Required School Immunizations
Vaccinations are required within the first 5 days of school or your child will not be able to attend school. Any single dose vaccines (Tdap and Meningitis for grades 7 to 12), are required by the first day of school. For vaccine requirements by grade level, view immunization flyer.
Parent/Guardians are also asked to complete the WSD Health Information and Consent form no later than Thursday, August 29, 2024: Health and Consent Form
School Breakfast/Lunch
We are pleased that the Free Breakfast Program will be continued this school year! We encourage all students to take advantage of this nutritious free meal to start the school day off on the right foot. Read about the benefits of breakfast
School lunches are no longer free for all students. However, your child(ren) may be eligible to receive free or reduced school meals, based on your income or state benefits received. In order to be eligible for free or reduced meals, families will need to complete an application unless they participate in a qualified benefits program (e.g., SNAP, TANF, or certain Medical Assistance).

Laptop Pickup
Students in grades 6-12 will receive their laptops in their homerooms the first week of school. The Annual Laptop Fee will remain the same as previous years - $30 for middle school students and $40 for high school students. The fee may be paid by credit card via My School Bucks or by a check payable to “WSD” (Please write 24-25 Laptop Fee in Memo and return to the homeroom teacher). Click here for my School Bucks
Special Education Parent Advisory Committee Information
The Wissahickon School District Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC) is a parent/guardian/caregiver-led, district recognized organization dedicated to supporting families and caregivers of students with IEPs, GIEPs, and 504 Plans.
