We had a great week at Elk Ridge! Families, you should be getting information from your child's teacher today about scheduling conferences. Conferences are an important opportunity for us to partner with you, review your child's academic, social, and behavioral performance so far this year, and set improvement goals together.

The White River Education Foundation supports White River students district wide. Some of the things they support are our Kindergarten field trip to Northwest Trek and our 5th grade field trip to JA Biz Town. Their annual fundraiser is coming up on November 2nd. Get ready—the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school! This is a great opportunity to connect with your child over the thrill of bringing home new books to dive into again and again. Studies show that kids read more when they choose books for themselves. And fostering a love of independent reading leads to a wide variety of benefits—including academic success and improved mental health.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Book Fair:

Students have the opportunity to purchase books during their recess, after school or during conferences.
