Spring into Learning
March 2021
Reopening News
Dear Eatonville Community,
I am elated to share the next phase of our path to reopening our schools. As we transition into March we are pleased to announce our “Spring Into Learning” theme. By following the science and staying current on the latest studies and research—we know that we can return to the classroom, that it is safe to have teaching and learning in-person. We will continue to use specific safety protocols like masking, distancing, ventilation, disinfecting, and symptom screening.
This effort is also a reflection of our values—we know that a generation of students is counting on us, that remote learning has exacerbated inequities, that public education is a vital support for our economy, that time has been a year in this Pandemic, and that the choice to adjust and adapt to this new reality is up to us. We are heartened by the recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) evidence showing that schools operating in-person with proper prevention measures have experienced minimal transmission of COVID-19. Across the United States and here in Eatonville, school districts have safely and successfully brought students and teachers back to the classroom.
Sincerely,
Krestin Bahr
Superintendent
