Mark Your Calendars: May 24 is a school make up day!

Friday, May 24, schools will be open and in session to make up for the day closed on January 18, 2024 due to the weather. The schedule will follow the typical Friday early dismissal schedule for students and will be a regular work day for school support staff and teachers.

Educational Bosses Week

This week, May 20 - 24, 2024, is Educational Bosses Week! A time for employees to thank our educational leaders district-wide for their hard work, dedication, and contribution to education.

Grad Walks are Coming Soon!

For high school seniors! Elementary schools across the district are welcoming back their formers students for "Class of 2024 Grad Walks." Graduating seniors, grab your cap and gown and go to your elementary school for a special grad walk parade.

The Marysville School District is making a concerted effort to improve student outcomes, and as part of this effort, we are excited to announce a district-wide transition to a comprehensive and more affordable tool for assisting staff in proactively addressing early elementary students' literacy development. The new assessment tool, Star CBM Reading, allows educators to accurately assess students and better target instruction and intervention for each learner’s needs. With Star CBM, educators can access in-depth data from student assessments to identify error patterns and opportunities for growth.

RE: Binding Conditions Requirements

Earlier this school year, the Marysville School District entered into Binding Conditions with the State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) because expenditures exceeded revenues, and the District could not submit a balanced budget for this school year. This inability to submit a balanced budget was due to a double levy failure, loss of ESSER funds, and loss of State funding from declining student enrollment.
