MTSD Special Education Newsletter
Family Edition: Vol. 1 Ed 5
Another year wrapped!
Thank you so much for your support of your children this year! You attended meetings, communicated and collaborated with school teams, participated in events, and were there to support your students at home.
Congratulations to those of you who watched your child graduate last week!
One final ask before we say goodbye to families for the summer: a quick survey. If you find yourself with a few minutes to share your thoughts with us, please do! The survey will close July 1, 2024.
We look forward to partnering with all of you when we return in August and going forward. Have a wonderful summer with your children!

Parent Networking and "Buddies"
Now that we have some interested mentors, we are looking for "mentees." What does that mean? Well, if you are someone who might be newer to the world of special education, or your child was recently identified, or you just are feeling like you need a friend walking the same path as you... you might be interested!
Does this sound like something you'd love to be a part of? If yes, please complete the linked form here by July 1, and expect to hear from us over the summer months.
Thank you for considering, and thank you to those who have already volunteered to be a parent mentor!
Parent Information Sessions
We will start our planning for 24-25 this summer; please complete the survey at the top of this newsletter to provide feedback and help inform our sessions.
Our gifted and special education North Star subcommittee continued through 2023-2024. Thank you to our existing and new members this year! If you are interested in joining us for 2024-2025, please contact Amber at mentzam@mtwp.net
