Thank you, Parent Volunteers!
It definitely takes a dedicated team to test 825 students (WOW!) using the Abbott BinaxNOW Rapid Antigen Test! We were all so pleased with the results of the day, both in negative test results (all students who tested were negative!) and the organization of the event.
Maureen Sullivan, Director of Technology, led the coordination of the event with exact detail and strong communication. Her efforts were noticed and appreciated by everyone. Along with Maureen, Trustee Don Geddis was instrumental in securing the COVID tests through the California Department of Public Health and well as implementing the Primary Testing System.
A big shoutout to our parents volunteers who never stopped moving throughout the day. They were critical to our success. Thank you to: Courtney Bocci, Lynette Caplice, Kelly Couch, Kitiya Ditpare, Lisa Javaherian, Kim Keyay, Grace Leung, Carrie Rice, and Donna Wei.

Parents must be fully vaccinated to volunteer on school campuses
Dear Parents / Guardians,
In order to enter any school campus as a volunteer, parents / guardians are REQUIRED to show proof of vaccination. Additionally, any "regular" volunteers will be REQUIRED to participate in regular (2X per month) COVID testing (as required by state law). There is no cost to the volunteer for this testing.
Regular volunteering is defined as volunteering one day or more per week on the school campus. Examples of volunteering include (but are not limited to) helping in classrooms, serving Choice Lunch, supervising student on the play yard, and assisting with drop-off and pick up duties.
Even if you are not sure you will be volunteering right now, but may consider doing so in the future, I would encourage you to submit your proof of vaccination.
We thank you in advance for your understanding. The health of our children and educators is of paramount importance and this will help us in keeping everyone as safe as possible. Please contact me with any questions.
Here is a LINK to the Google Form where you can upload your proof of vaccination.
Thank you,
Louann

Dog Poop on our Fields - ARG
We need your help! If you see people on our campuses - particularly South - with their dogs running loose with little to no supervision, please help us (and YOUR children) by asking these individuals to leash their dogs or leave our campuses.
We have signage on every campus, but there is a small and consistent group of folks who do not follow these rules and it is our students (and teachers) who pay the price. We love having community members on our campuses after hours - as long as they can follow some very simple rules.
HPD has been very helpful as well so do not hesitate in calling them at (650) 375-7470 to assist you as needed.
