A Message From Mr. Hansel
Cascade Community,
I just want to take a moment to express how incredibly proud I am of our senior class for the way they represented Cascade High School during the Polar Plunge benefiting Special Olympics.
Not only did they step up for a great cause, but their behavior, respect, and positive attitude did not go unnoticed. Multiple people—not even connected to our school—came up to tell me how well-mannered and well-behaved our students were throughout the event. That speaks volumes about the kind of young adults we have here at Cascade.
To our seniors: You handled yourselves with maturity, kindness, and class. You made a difference, and you made us all proud. Keep setting the bar high!
Go Cadets!!

The College Goal Sunday team is very happy to announce that the expert FAFSA filing help Hoosiers receive every year on College Goal Sunday, will continue this year through March 23rd! As many of you know, the Federal Student Aid site was down Sunday, making filing of the form impossible during the actual event time. While attendees were able to get many questions answered, and talk financial aid overall as well, we want to be certain that every Indiana family needing FAFSA filing assistance, receives it.
To connect with the College Goal Sunday experts, simply direct families to CollegeGoalSunday.org. Families will be able to connect with our FAFSA filing experts quickly and easily through information on the page and will also be eligible for our drawing for 1 of 5 $1,000 scholarships!

A message from the SRO
There appears to be a phone scam once again circulating around Hendricks County. The scam call states that you missed jury duty, or you have a warrant, or some other form of criminal activity, and you could pay to get out of trouble.
We do not call you if you have a warrant…we show up when you least expect it and serve the warrant! The courthouse will not call you for missing jury duty. DO NOT give out debit card, credit card, or personal identifying information to anyone on a phone call unless you know to whom you are talking!

Cascade FFA Member Riese Myers has applied and been selected to attend the Washington Leadership Conference (WLC) this summer in Washington DC. Her scholarship comes from The Native Youth in Agriculture and the Tribal Agriculture Fellowship organizations, which sponsor Native American FFA members with a once in a lifetime opportunity to attend the national level conference.
This conference will provide leadership opportunities for more than 2,000 FFA members throughout the multiple weeks offered. Members learn how to "do what we can, with what we have, where we are" as well as develop a Living to Serve Plan to bring back to our community! Riese will have the opportunity to learn even more about the Native American cultural impact on the agriculture industry as she enjoys this experience. The scholarship covers the cost of student registration, student flights, as well as travel expenditure coverage.
Congratulations Riese, and we can't wait to hear about your experience, and to see what service project plans you bring home to our community!
FFA Luncheon was a complete success. Mrs. Searcy has grown and amazing extracurricular program!!
Happy Birthday!!
