How About Them Apples
During circle time, we are working on imitating actions of the teachers and learning our friends' names during our good morning songs. We're also working on saying hello with our words or a wave, identifying our picture or name in print, singing the days of the week, counting numbers on our calendar (we are fantastic counters!), and following one-, two-, and three-step directions. Many of our academic songs come from the Tuned Into Learning Curriculum if you want to check it out. We are also practicing our language by requesting turns, identifying objects with words or sentences (e.g., "I have a yellow bus"), making choices, and answering wh- questions, among other things.
In P.E. this week, we practiced stretching, waved scarves up and down, played scarf tail tag, rolled and jumped through hula hoops, and danced to various songs. With our friends from Rm 4, we played in our grocery store dramatic play area and took turns being the shopper and the cashier!
