Hall Happenings
September 2022
Welcome to Hall Middle School
We are off to a great start for the 2021-2022 school year! Students and teachers have been collaborating to create a positive working environment at Hall MS through relationship building activities and classroom relationship agreements. Last week we started our academic focus as well and students are impressing us daily with their work ethic and commitment to success. We have no doubts that academic achievement at HMS will continue to soar as we move from a B to an A campus. It's going to be a great year!

Student ID Badges
Badges will be used at all campuses district wide and students are required to wear them every day throughout the school day.
- ID badges can be used to check out library books, scan for lunches, and are required for students to scan onto and off of buses (before/after school, field trips, athletic events).
- Students will receive a new ID card each school year. While every student's first ID card is provided at no cost, the district will maintain the policy of a $5 replacement fee to be charged for any damaged or lost cards. The replacement fees will start on September 6th.
- Badges should not be altered in any way.
- Students were provided a district issued lanyard, however students are permitted to bring their own lanyard if they choose. Lanyards must adhere to dress code standards.
Thank you and we appreciate your assistance in helping your child keep track of their badge!
Please join PTA to support our school!

Guidance lessons will begin the month of September. Counselors will be in 6th grade Social Studies, 7th grade Professional Communications/Data Entry and 8th grade Employability Skills classes to deliver lessons for this month’s topic of suicide prevention. Please ensure you have read the “2023 Counseling-Guidance Lessons” tab in Skyward student verification and selected your choice for your student. Counselors will be using lists created from this tab in Skyward in the delivery of these lessons. Students who are opted-out will complete an alternate assignment during guidance lesson days.
A prevention specialist from Serenity House will begin the “Too Good for Drugs” educational program with our 6th grade students in their Social Studies classes. Please read the information form your student brings home about this program. Classes will begin Monday, September 12th and last approximately 10 weeks, meeting once per week.
