Principal Message
Good Afternoon, OMS Families,
High Five Friday was a great way to end the week! We welcomed several AHPD officers and members of the JHHS pep band, golf team, girls flag football team and football team. There were a lot of smiles on our students' faces as they entered the building this morning.
We also want to thank the families who were able to join us for ML family night. Families gathered in the commons to enjoy some good food and get to know one another.
Finally, our students enjoyed a string concert assembly on Thursday performed by kindergarten through 5th grade students in the Music for Youth program. If your child expressed interest in playing the violin, viola or cello please click here for more information.
Enjoy the weekend,
Erin, Julia, and the OMS Staff

Science Club
Science Club is back with three sessions, meeting on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, October 1 through November 20.
We’re offering hands-on science adventures for students in grades two through five; first grade students may participate if anv older sibling is enrolled in Science Club AND an adult can volunteer to help everyday that the first grade student attends.
We meet from 3:35 until 4:45 PM in the LMC.
Session 1: Maps and Compasses (three weeks)
Go on a compass treasure hunt in Greens Park, explore the world in a compass
quest, and build a three dimensional topical map.
Session 2: Qualitative Chemistry - Mystery Powders (three weeks)
Discover how various substances behave chemically and physically, then use what
you’ve learned to figure out which substances are included in various mixtures.
Session 3: Fun With Physics (two weeks)
We’ll pose two building challenges that will test your imagination and engineering
skills.
Want to join in the fun? Then complete and return the registration form as soon as possible. Sessions can fill up very quickly. The number of students per session is dependent on the number of adult volunteers. To ensure that we’re able to provide a safe and enjoyable activity at least two
adults will be present each day. Any days that do not have at least one adult volunteer will be cancelled. Please consider signing up to help on one or more days as your schedule allows.
