Message from the Prinicpal
Greetings RFHS Students and Families,
Academic Progress
As fall winds down we look forward to the end of term one on Monday, November 4th. There will be an in service day with no school on Tuesday, November 5th. As we prepare for the start of term two on Wednesday, November 6th, please ensure you and your student are reviewing their grades on Infinite Campus. A collaborative and supportive approach should be taken to create a pathway for improvement when identifying areas of concern. Ensure you identify potential challenges and struggles your student may be facing. Consider their study habits, routines, and time management while working to understand the root causes of low grades. We are here to offer any support and encourage you to connect with our teachers to develop improvement plans if necessary. Please praise areas where your student is excelling and encourage repetitive self-reflection. Setting realistic goals for improvement, implementing new study plans, and pursing tutoring are all options for future student success.
School Security
Our commitment to bolstering the safety and security of the school remains a top priority. The installation of additional security cameras and numerous system upgrades have improved monitoring capabilities around the school and grounds. A big thank you to Officer Adam Amaro, our new School Resource Officer, for his dedication in executing our many protocols and overseeing our most recent and successful A.L.I.C.E. drill. These proactive measures are essential for ensuring a safe environment for all students and staff.
Student Appointments
We've had an increase of last minute phone calls from parents requesting their student's immediate release for appointments or parent excused absences. Requesting an immediate release results in abrupt classroom disturbances and student release delays. To prevent learning disruptions and appointment delays, please submit your absence request on Infinite Campus no less than an hour prior to your student's departure time. Call the main office at (715) 425-1830 if you have any difficulties submitting your request.
Have a great weekend! Go Wildcats!
