It's the final week before vacation!

Carnaval de MSMS!

This Friday, we will be the Carnaval de MSMS! Our 7th Grade French students have been working in collaboration with the student Leadership Team to creates a school-wide Winter Carnival modeled after Carnaval de Quebec. There will be various activities around the building outside throughout the day.

The week before vacation always means its time to break out a Spirit Week - and this one is in line with celebrating Carnaval and our neighbors to the north. It should be fun, eh?

Team Tuesday: Winter Sports gear.

Wintery Wednesday: blue, white, sparkles, and snowflakes.

Tuque Thursday: a red tuque (hat) like Bonhomme Carnaval or a red/white hat for Canada.

Flannel Friday: any flannel works but traditionally for Carnaval du Quebec, it's red flannel!

Basketball

This week, is also our Central Vermont Basketball Tournament. Come to MSMS this week to see some great basketball games happening!

Break will be from February 27 - Town Meeting Day, Tuesday, March 7th.

School resuming on Wednesday, March 8th.

Caregivers' Alliance: Popcorn Friday Support!

Caregiver Opportunity: Application Screening & Interview Committee

As we prepare for the 2023- 2024 school year, we will likely have a need to create Screening Committees which will review and interview applicants for potential openings at Main Street Middle School. We are hoping to create a bank of caregivers that are willing to serve in this capacity to ensure that caregiver perspectives are taken into account throughout the hiring process.

MSMS Spring Sports Offerings: Track and Field all genders(Grades 5-8), Ultimate all genders (Grades 5-8), Baseball (Gr 7 & 8), Softball (Gr 7 & 8, Gr 6 possible) & Boys Lacrosse (Grades 5-8)
MS Meet the Coaches night will be 3/14 5:00pm at MHS (We will be at the HS as there is more parking there!) We will hold a Meet the Coaches Night in order for everyone to meet their coaches before the season begins! When you get to the school you will go to an area with just your team and coach to talk about your upcoming year. This meeting is for both the player and the parents/caregivers. You'll get to find out more about practice times and try out information, along with team expectations and policies at these meetings so please make sure you show up.
