The Mane Event
Get in the know!
August 28, 2024
Calling all Morton Mustangs!
Get ready to show your school spirit! Here's what's galloping our way:
Mustang Mondays: Starting September 9th, wear your school colors (green and gold!) or Morton spirit wear with pride every Monday. Let's stampede the halls with Mustang spirit!
Future Fridays: Looking ahead? Every Friday starting September 6th is Future Friday! Encourage your scholar to dress for their dream college (college apparel welcome!) or the career they're aiming for. It's never too early to start thinking about the future!
Morton Families Get Involved!
Do you have a college degree or a successful career path? We'd love for you to share your "funds of knowledge" and inspire our students!

Let's make Morton a hub of school spirit, college readiness, and career exploration!
Yours in partnership,
Principal Twanjua Jones
As a CEP school, Morton offers free meals to all students. We're concerned that bringing in fast food could potentially undermine this necessary program, especially for those who rely on it for sustenance.

Forms to complete
All students get free meals at school.
All students enrolled in CEP schools will receive breakfast and lunch at no cost throughout this school year. However, it is still important for families to complete an application for non-meal related benefits associated with student free/reduced data. CEP schools call this the Educational Benefits Form. Filling it out helps both the student’s family and the schools.
Note: The 2024-25 form opens at the end of July.
