Eye on FISD
June 6, 2024
From Dr. Gilstrap
The summer break has just started, but we are already gearing up to welcome our students and staff back to school for the 2024-2025 school year! Our Maintenance team is working hard on several summer projects, making sure our campuses are in the best shape possible this fall.
The Summer Sports Camps and summer school are in full swing. I am happy to see so many students taking advantage of these opportunities to continue learning and growing.
I hope that our Floresville ISD families and community enjoy a safe summer with loved ones.
Please be on the lookout for important back-to-school announcements. Thank you for your support.

TJ and Jenna's Adventures
Right before the end of the school year, Pre-K and elementary school students went home with their own TJ the Tiger or Jenna the Jaguar. We encourage families to take TJ and Jenna on every adventure this summer break and send us pictures!
Did TJ and Jenna go missing? Not a problem! Click here to download a copy of our mascots that you can print out and color at home, and take on your next adventure!
Look who's Floresville Fab!
Ms. Betty Rosas, instructional aide at Floresville High School, was nominated by her colleague Priscilla Guerra:
"Ms. Rosas made me aware of a student who needed additional counseling support, but also requested a plan to help her in redirect so she could better support the student. A part of the plan was for the student to go over her positive affirmations she had written down. Ms. Rosas then went above and beyond and created a space on her wall so the student could not only see her affirmations daily, but now she continue to add positive pieces and things that made her happy. Ms. Rosas does an amazing job to support students and make them feel important."
Congratulations, Mrs. Ríos and Mrs. Gibson!
