RECAP OF SPRING SPORTS
What a fantastic season it was!
The Spring season just came to a close for all of our programs and it was a memorable one! To begin with, we took home two League Championships in Boys Lacrosse and Boys Volleyball with the following teams also making the playoffs: Baseball, Softball, Girls Lacrosse and Boys Tennis. We also had numerous individuals in our Track and Swim programs qualify and represent well at CIF and the State Meets.
Once in the playoffs, we had some noteworthy performances by our Volleyball and Baseball teams. With a pretty young team, Boys Volleyball played at a high level beating a few teams including a strong Santa Barbara squad at their place in the Quarterfinals before losing in the Semifinals to the top-seeded Redondo Union team. Our Baseball team had a magical run through the playoffs winning three tight road games en route to the CIF title game. Behind brilliant pitching from Zach Ireland and Rex Jarcy, the Patriots walked-off with the CIF Championship over St. John Bosco with a single to right field from Jagger Snitko and an excellent slide to avoid the tag by Isaiah Kapur. The final score was 2-1 in eight innings.
We also had great results from some individuals this Spring. Freshman Tyler Lee won the Individual Title for Tennis in the Pacific Coast League beating some extremely talented players. He then moved onto the CIF Individuals where he gutted out wins and finally lost in the Championship Match. Not to be outdone was Senior Ibzan Felix from our Track program. He was the Individual League Champ in the 1600 and 3200 races and then went on to win the CIF title in the 1600 and finish 2nd overall in the 3200. Ibzan then moved on to the Masters Meet where he won the 1600 meter race and finally finished off his year by finishing 3rd overall at the State Meet in that same race.
Congratulations to all of our Spring Sports Athletes and Programs!

ATHLETES OF THE YEAR
SCHOLAR ATHLETES OF THE YEAR
23-24 ATHLETICS YEAR IN REVIEW
In the Fall, we celebrated League Championships in Boys Water Polo, Boys Cross Country and Girls Volleyball. Our Football team, after an 8-2 regular season, lost in the CIF Quarterfinals in a tightly contested game to the eventual champion. Senior cross country runner, Ibzan Felix, was the PCL champ and finished 2nd overall in CIF. In addition, our Boys XC team went on to finish 8th overall in the State this year. Last, but definitely not least, was our Girls Volleyball team which went on to win the CIF Championship(pictured below).
During the Winter season, we had League Championships won by our Girls Basketball and Girls Water Polo programs. Those same two programs were the ones able to piece together multiple wins in the playoffs. Our Girls Basketball program ended up going down in the Quarterfinals and Girls Water Polo made it to the Semifinals before losing to a strong Alta Loma team.
We had quite a few positives this Spring by both our teams and individuals as noted in the article above. To begin with, both our Boys Volleyball and Boys Lacrosse teams won the league championship. Our Boys Tennis team qualified and lost in the Open Division (top 8 teams in all of CIF) for the playoffs. We also had Caden and Tyler Lee (yes, they're brothers), take part and win the doubles portion of the prestigious Ojai Tennis tournament in April. Tyler went on to win the Individual League Championship in Tennis and finished 2nd overall in CIF. We also had a number of individuals from our Swim program qualify and race in the State Swim Meet. In addition, our same runner, Ibzan Felix, won the 1600 and 3200 races at the League level, he won CIF and the Master Meet race in the 1600, and 3rd at the State Meet. Finally, our Baseball team had their incredible run and won the Division 3 CIF Championship.
We indeed have a lot to be proud of on the field of play, be I also want to make sure I thank the athletes, coaches and parents for their off-the-field work. Our student-athletes demonstrated incredible composure and understanding with their teammates and opponents this year. The true joy of sport and competition was on display. I appreciate the incredible work, planning and communication that was done on the part of our coaches making this a special year for our athletes. And for the parents/boosters, thank you all so much for your support of our programs in whatever way you helped this past year.
Thank you again to the athletes for representing Beckman well and I wish everyone a great Summer. I can't wait to see what we achieve in the 24-25 school year!

SPRING SIGNING DAY CELEBRATION
On Wednesday, April 24, we celebrated eleven of our Senior student-athletes. These standout athletes will be competing in their sport at the next level as they move on from Beckman. The celebration was held during the late morning in the gym where we had family members decorate each athlete's table with gear from the program they'll be attending. You can see the entire list of athletes, the sport they'll be playing moving forward and their future school/program below. All of our student-athletes had an opportunity to take pictures with family members prior to Break and then we invited students into the Gym to join the celebration during the student break period. We had an enormous turnout of friends and family members to make this a special day for these student-athletes. We appreciate how these athletes represented us during their time here at BHS and wish them all the best as they move forward!
