We are the PACK!
Smiley Thoughts
PACK Guardians and Students,
Please make sure you read all the bold items below as there are some that are very important. Also, if you have not filled out the free/reduced lunch application online, or a paper version from the office, please do so ASAP. There are a little over 100 students that qualified last year and that qualification has run out without a new application. We WANT to make sure all students that qualify are provided for but we need your help!
Campus Cleanliness - On Friday, all three grade levels were given a stern lecture on the cleanliness of this campus and our expectations. Most students are doing the right thing, but handful of "some" students are not treating the campus with the respect it deserves. Those students will no longer be shown leniency by administration when applying consequences. Thank you to those students who do the right thing!
HOMECOMING - Save the date! Homecoming week is October 15-18 with a dance that Friday. The game is on Tuesday and we have some great things planned for the week! The flyer is later on in the newsletter
Pep Rally - All grade levels will get to attend the pep rally on Tuesday at 9a.m. There will be a small parent section as well.
Mums/Garters - These are allowed on Tuesday, for game day only. They need to be reasonable and not pose a distraction to instruction. That means no flashing lights and loud bells. Thank you for understanding that our priority for students is a distraction free learning environment.
Dance - The 6th grade dance will be immediately after school in the cafeteria from 4-5:30pm. The 7th/8th grade dance will be from 6-7:30pm with tickets being sold that week during lunches.
Annie Jr. Auditions - Auditions for Annie Jr. will be held in the Cafeteria starting Monday, September 30 at 3:45pm. Please prepare 30 seconds of a song from Annie for the audition. If you have any questions please come see Ms. Hawkins or Ms. Reid
Free and Reduced Lunch - We have paper applications in the front office for those needing free/reduced lunch. Please let us know how we can help you! If you would rather, you can go online, click "create an account", and fill it out. You will need your students' ID numbers.
Anime Club - Anime club officially starts on September 24th in room A122. You must have a signed permission slip to participate after the first meeting.
Tutorials - A tutorials schedule has been created and will stay on this newsletter towards the bottom as a "button" that you can always access. It will also be printed poster size and placed all over campus as well as being located on our website.
-------------------------------------------------------------REPEATS--------------------------------------------------------------------
Leaving Early - If you are picking your child up early from school please do so by 3:15 p.m. We do not allow students to be checked out after 3:15 p.m. since this could hamper our dismissal procedures and ability to retrieve multiple students before the bell. The front office is closed between 3:15 and 3:45 p.m.
Games at Hubbard - On days that we have a home volleyball game at Hubbard, all students are expected to vacate the building before the games start. Any student that returns for a game must go, and stay, in the gym for the games. If they leave the gyms, they will not be allowed to re-enter. if you leave the games, you must exit the building and NOT roam campus. We let students know via announcements that If they are found anywhere other than the gyms, they will receive a consequence. Thank you for understanding!
