New Pattengill Item Drop-Off Policy
As a Leader in Me School, and our commitment to fostering personal leadership in each of our students, we are making an important change to enhance our school environment. Beginning on the first day of school, the Main Office will no longer accept and deliver forgotten items to classrooms. This new policy aims to minimize classroom disruptions and ensure that instructional time remains focused and uninterrupted.
We believe encouraging students to be proactive, putting first things first, and taking responsibility for their belongings will help them develop important organizational and leadership skills. Please assist us by reviewing with your child each evening what they will need for the following school day.
We know this will be a change for our students and families. We appreciate your understanding and support as we work together to create a productive and supportive learning environment for all students.
A lunch choice, snacks, and water will always be provided by the school.

Smart Devices Policy
Pattengill students are welcome to bring cell phones and smartwatches to school; however, we kindly ask that these devices remain securely stored in lockers throughout the school day and not be used during school hours.
If students need to contact home, they are welcome to visit the Main Office, where our staff will be happy to assist them with making phone calls.
With your support, we can create an uninterrupted learning environment that benefits all students during instructional time. Your support is greatly appreciated and helps us maintain a focused and productive school day.
Thank you for your cooperation and for supporting the Pattengill staff in providing the best educational experience for our students.

Pattengill Bond Construction Updates
Pattengill's multi-purpose/cafeteria additions plans are complete. Contractors were selected at the August Board of Education meeting, bids came in under budget and planning for the construction staging areas has begun. Detailed timelines are below to prepare the community for the construction season.
Pattengill’s new multi-purpose/cafeteria addition will be attached to the building at the north doors, in the current concrete area. It will house a new lunchroom, a new kitchen, storage rooms, and restrooms and will be a wonderful space for collaboration.
Pattengill’s construction fencing will encompass the concrete area outside of the north doors through the baseball field. In addition, the construction fencing will hug the sidewalk in the grassy area between the playground and building for work on the new underground water drainage system. The construction fencing will be added mid-October.
Pattengill students will access the playground through the 5th grade doors only.
A large portion of the field will be blocked off for construction staging, however, students will have access to a portion of the field for recess.
A new concrete area will be poured to the south of the playground as part of the later construction plans.
In addition to the multi-purpose addition, the District is adding parking spaces near the baseball field on Royal as part of the construction.
The overhang outside of the north doors will be removed off school hours before construction begins to abate asbestos.
During construction, both Royal and Oakshire will have short time periods where the streets will have construction to tie into the building projects. We will notify the community ahead of time when these projects are slated to begin.
