It was such a pleasure to see so many families on campus for conference time. If you were not able to make it, you can always reach out via email or ParentSquare to ask your child's teacher what strengths your little is showing as well as what areas might need some extra practice at home. It is amazing how much academic benefit children experience from simple things such as The License Plate Alphabet Game or The Memory Game. A simple internet search of "fun car games to play" returns list after list of funs ways to interact while chauffeuring the kiddos to and from school, soccer practice, and cub scouts. This is also a fun time to play mental math. Counting games, skip counting, and number fact quizzing are all activities that can be fun to play. Start with activities that are very easy for your little and then as they start having fun and gaining confidence you can slip in a few more challenging tasks. It is a great way to spend the time with your captive audience.

Thank-you to everyone for your patience and kind driving. Our school Resource Officer, Deputy Kevin Hills of Placer County Sheriff's Department, came by to observe and was very impressed with the process. He was impressed that we were able to quickly and most importantly safely dismiss almost 400 kiddos without any problems. This is only because of the kindness I see you demonstrating daily. Our children our watching. When we let a car back out of a parking spot or we stop for pedestrians, our littles are learning how to be kind adults. What they have been seeing in the last few weeks has been wonderful. I appreciate it, and I know the entire community appreciates it.

Reminder that Friday October 11 there is no school for students. This is a training day for staff and we will be working on improving how we provide instruction for all students.

Saturday, October 26th, is the Fall Carnival. This is the most wonderful community event I have ever experienced. I hope all of you can join us for family, food, and fun on this afternoon. AND I hope many of you can reach out to your classroom teacher or PTC to help make this event even more phenomenal than it has been in past years

It truly takes a village.

Please remember to let your little know what is on the menu. Sometimes, they change their mind when they get to school and find out that they really love or don't really like what the daily offering is.
