Dear Millbridge Families,
As the crisp November air settles in, we are reminded of the beauty of change and the importance of gratitude. This season offers us an opportunity to pause, reflect, and appreciate the many blessings in our lives, including the partnership we share with you in your child’s education.
We are so proud of the hard work and enthusiasm our students bring to school each day. Their growth and accomplishments are a testament to the support and encouragement they receive at home. Thank you for all you do to foster their love of learning and to instill the values that make our school community so special.
November is also a time to come together and celebrate. Whether it's through parent-teacher conferences, school events, or simple moments of connection, we are grateful for the chance to strengthen the bonds that make our school a true family.
As we move through this month of reflection and gratitude, I encourage you to take a moment to celebrate your child’s successes, big and small, and to share in their joy for learning. Together, we can make this season a meaningful one filled with kindness, community, and inspiration.
Thank you for being an integral part of our school. We wish you and your family a wonderful November filled with warmth, love, and countless moments to be thankful for.
Best,
Stacy Murphy
Principal
Note from the Nurse
I want to inform you of an increase in reported cases of pneumonia among children in New Jersey. Pneumonia is a serious lung infection that can affect children of all ages. While it can sometimes develop after a cold or flu, it can also occur on its own.
Pneumonia can present with symptoms similar to the common cold, such as:
• Coughing (especially with mucus)
• Fever/Chills
• Difficulty breathing or rapid breathing
• Chest pain
• Fatigue
• Headache
If your child is experiencing any of these symptoms, they should stay home and you should consult a healthcare provider to be properly evaluated. Pneumonia can be caused by bacteria, viruses, or even fungi, and early detection and treatment are crucial for managing it effectively. Early detection and treatment are crucial for managing pneumonia effectively.
For more detailed information about pneumonia in children, including signs, prevention, and treatment options, please visit the following webpage from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP):

Scholastic Book Fair - THANK YOU!
A round of applause to everyone involved; our custodians, paras, CMA's, teachers, our administration, office staff, our PTO members, the DEA, our Book Fair parent volunteers and all the students and families that shopped.
Highlights of this year's fair:
Share the Fair dollars ensured every child got a book and our PTO Book Fairies filled our teacher wish bins with books to share!
The PTO and DEA collaborated to host a very successful Family BINGO night that brought parents in to shop the Fair with their children and for their teachers.
We sold a record breaking number of books.
A HUGE thank you to our Book Fair chairs, Megan Staerk and Lauren Cash, who did a spectacular job...and brought donuts!
Our Book Fairies and Teacher winners!
enVision Mathematics
Nearly 100 parents attended the Parent Math Info Night in October. If you were unable to attend in person, a recorded, webinar-style version of the presentation is now available. It’s about 23 minutes, and it includes an overview of the program, explains the parts of a typical daily math lesson, and demonstrates how to access online resources to support your children’s math learning. The enVision Math page on the district website includes a link to view the recorded Parent Info Night webinar, as well as links to other helpful resources.

If you are dropping your child off, please enter the parking lot closest to the cafeteria. This is the carpool line. Staff will direct you around and assist your child out of the car. It is extremely helpful to have your child in the back on the passenger side for exit. A staff member will open the car door when it is safe for exit. There will be staff members to assist in crossing and navigating the hallways to help find classrooms.
