Happy Friday Bulldog Families,

Can you believe the first month of 2025 is already behind us? February is upon us, and we’re kicking off the month with our PTO’s annual Daddy/Daughter event! If you haven’t purchased your ticket yet, it’s not too late! The purchase link can be found below under PTO Events & Updates. Come on out to a boot, scootin' good time!

We’re trying something new and fun to engage with our BWE community! Have you seen the “Answer the Web’s Most Searched Questions About You” clips? Google it and check it out! Our administrative team is ready to take a shot at it, and we want to hear your questions. Use this link to submit questions for our administrators.

Next week is National School Counseling Week, and we’re proud to have two of the best school counselors around: Llaneika Baines and Shannon Simmons. Let’s show them some love and appreciation for the incredible support and commitment they give to our students every day.

BWE PE Kids Heart Challenge

Join the Kids Heart Challenge! Our goal is to rally all families to join our team, learn Hands-Only CPR, build awareness, and raise lifesaving funds for the American Heart Association.

The heart of the matter:

One family saved a life with Hands-Only CPR, that they learned from Finn’s Mission. Hands-Only CPR, provided immediately after sudden cardiac arrest, can double or triple a victim's chance of survival.

Deliveries (forgotten items & lunches) may be placed on the cart, just inside the front entry doors.

VOLUNTEER in CISD

Volunteers in CISD must complete the district application each year. The application is linked here for your convenience.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

TARDIES & EARLY SIGN OUT

Students arriving after 7:55 a.m. are marked tardy. Early check-out ends @ 2:30 p.m.

TRANSPORTATION CHANGES

All transportation changes should be emailed to birnhamwoods@conroeisd.net.

Changes must be received by 2 p.m.

CISD PK-6 Cell Phone & Smart Watch Guidelines

Cell phones and smartwatches may be used respectfully and responsibly before school and after school.
Cell phones and smartwatches should not be used to capture video, audio, or images at school or on the bus.
Cell phones and smartwatches should be set on silent mode and kept in backpacks, lockers, or other designated storage areas and should not be visible during school hours including instructional time, reward time, free time, lunch, and in the hallways.
Use of cell phones and smartwatches may be permitted in extenuating circumstances with permission from a staff member (ex. to notify parent/ guardian of a late bus).

BIRTHDAYS

Birthdays are the best days and we love to celebrate at BWE! We do not however, host birthday parties at school. Parents may send gift bags of inedible items (pencils, bubbles, party favors) for students to share with their class. Edible items may be sent, inedible items are preferred. Due to allergies and dietary restrictions, edible items MUST be store bought with a legible nutrition label.
