From the Principal.... Matt Clark
Good afternoon parents and guardians and happy Fri-yay!
Why is it that sometimes short weeks feel longer than a full five-day week? Maybe it's because of the three late nights we had this week, but I can’t complain—each one was fantastic. The past two nights saw an incredible parent turnout at our curriculum nights, and on Tuesday, our first-ever Thunder Night was a huge success. The energy and excitement were truly palpable.
Next week looks just as exciting! On Monday, we’ll have our Thompson vs Wredling football games at East High School, followed by our first annual Color-Palooza on Thursday. There’s still time to sign up for this colorful event, and more information about the event and registration is provided below.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Color Palooza is NEXT WEEK!!
Thursday, September 12th from 4-6pm
Get to know your peers and dive into a burst of fun at the Color Palooza, organized by the TMS PTO! This vibrant back-to-school event is all about excitement and interaction, with no running required. Join students, families, staff, and community members to explore a variety of color-themed activities and stations.
Each participant receives a white shirt to showcase the colorful splashes created during the event. Enjoy delicious pizza, refreshing drinks, and Kona shaved ice while you take part in the festivities. The Color Palooza is a fantastic way to celebrate school spirit and unity, all while supporting Thompson Middle School through funds raised from registration fees, sponsorships, and donations.
Don’t miss out on this memorable day of color and community spirit!
Thursday, Sept 12. 4-6pm
Looking to get more involved? Volunteering at Color Palooza is a great way to meet other parents, engage with the PTO, and contribute to a memorable community event. We need volunteers for various roles, including activity stations, registration, food and drink service, and event setup/cleanup.
