Dear Westmount Families,
With only four months left in the school year, we are certainly into the home stretch! I want to thank everyone for helping us to have a hugely successful year!
Our second set of report cards is set to go out on March 20, 2023. Parent/Teacher interviews will follow on March 23 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with your child's teacher! Stay tuned for more information and how to sign up.
We are excited to announce that Kindergarten Registration is OPEN. Children who turn five (5) on or before December 31, 2023 are eligible to enter Kindergarten for the 2023 – 24 school year.
Westmount School plans to offer two Kindergarten programs:
• Option 1 – Full-Time Kindergarten: This program runs all day, every school day. There is a $125.00/month fee associated with this option.
• Option 2 – Regular Kindergarten: This program runs full days Tuesdays & Thursdays for the first semester. For the second semester (February - June 2024), the program runs Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
A reminder of our weather policy:
If the wind chill drops below -25C, we do not send students outside for recess. When the wind chill is between -20C and -25C, we send students outside for a short amount of time to get some fresh air and burn off energy. Anything warmer than -20C with the wind chill and our students will go outside for regular recess. We encourage our students to come ready for the range of weather that is possible here in Alberta.
