Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame
2024 INDUCTEES ARE:
William O'Donnell
William is a successful professional who has served in leading roles for Vlasic Foods, Arco Chemical, and Wawa. These organizations have greatly benefited from his ability to work collaboratively with large teams to plan for and implement highly successful business strategies. However, it is Mr. O’Donnell’s life as a public servant that sets him apart. At Penncrest High School, Mr. O’Donnell gave back by serving as President of both the Boys and Girls Lacrosse Boosters Association. His contributions to the Rose Tree Media School District include 13 years as a member of the Board of School Directors, where he worked to ensure students had access to a multitude of opportunities outside of the classroom. Mr. O'Donnell also served as a member of the Upper Providence Township Council.
William Turner
William Turner is a lifelong public servant. Currently the Emergency Management Director for the State of Connecticut, Mr. Turner is a nationally recognized expert in the field of emergency preparedness and response. Prior to his appointment in Connecticut, Mr. Turner was the Deputy Director of Emergency Management for Chester County, Pennsylvania. Mr. Turner also continues to serve as a first responder in Avalon, NJ where he is an EMS Technician.
Kenny Trusty
Kenny was a very successful student athlete during his time at Penncrest High School. Perhaps his classmates will remember him for the several all-league awards he received on the football field and basketball court. However, the Rose Tree Media community will forever remember Mr. Trusty not for his athletic accolades but for the contributions he made to the lives of countless children after his playing days were over. Mr. Trusty made a profound difference in the community by creating a mentoring program for boys at the Pottstown YMCA, where he also served as the Sports Director. Mr. Trusty also served as the Executive Director of the Media Youth Center, which is an invaluable resource in our community. Mr. Trusty’s contributions to the community will be felt for generations to come.
Patrick Meyers
Patrick is a physicist who has made significant contributions in the field of Physics. At Penncrest, Patrick excelled not only academically but also in athletics and the band. After earning a PhD in physics from the University of Minnesota, Dr. Myers has continued his research career in Australia and at the California Institute of Technology, where he now serves as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. Dr. Myers has contributed to nearly 50 publications, including 9 for which he was the lead author or co-author. Mr. Myers’ research of gravitational waves has helped us gain a better understanding of the universe, building upon the predictions of Albert Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity. Mr. Myers contributes to the work of the U.S. National Science Foundation Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory, where he has also received awards for his excellence.
