Please ensure that your 11th grader has an updated unexpired Immunization form turned into the Nurses by December 19th. The Coastal District Health Department has been in contact with us, and they would like for you to know that they have appointments available. The Lady Warriors flag football team and/or Coach Brooker were victorious in the first and second GHSA Flag Football playoffs (who was voted Coach of the Year this season!), please congratulate them for advancing to the ELITE EIGHT!

Please join the HVJ family as we proudly congratulate one of our students, Amy Shonk, on swimming in the Toyota U.S. Open Championships. They will be held December 4-7 at The Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina. She will be swimming the 50 SCY (short course yards) Freestyle (23.14) on the 5th. She will also compete in the following meets:

• Georgia Senior State Championships Dec 6-8, 2024
• Gabrielsen Natatorium (UGA pool) - Athens, GA.
• Speedo Winter Junior Championship East Dec 11–14, 2024
• Greensboro Aquatic Center (GAC) - Greensboro, NC.

She will be swimming the 50 SCY freestyle (23.14) and the 100 SCY Backstroke (55.13) on the 12th & 13th.

Here is some interesting information about Amy:

• Amy will graduate early as a Junior.
• She has been swimming since she was 7 (9 years) for The Savannah Swim Team.
• She has been Olympic weightlifting since she was 8 or 9 for Team Savannah.
• She specializes in the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke (sprint).
• Amy has said that ever since she started swimming, her goal has always been to represent Team USA at the Olympic Games!!

Recapping the past two weeks for Jenkins ROTC program! Congratulations to our cadet of the month Ramos! Our wonderful cadets volunteered for the all-women's marathon over the weekend and looked quite dashing for a good cause. Our color guard looking sharp at our homecoming game which we won!
