Attendance is an essential component to a student’s academic success. Often, the number of days those students are absent accumulate without parents realizing how many days have been missed. Westview Elementary attendance policy states each student is allowed ten unexcused absences each school year. Please make sure if your child is going to be absent to notify our office by calling 765-677-4437.

If your child need to make a change to their transportation please call by 2:00 PM each day. This will ensure we have time to notify the classroom teacher and support a safe transition home for your child.

All students need to have a change of clothes in their backpack every day. We are little and accidents do happen. Whether it's at lunch with our milk or at recess, accidents happen. Lastly, be sure to put your child's name on their items (backpacks, clothes, lunchboxes, etc.) so they may be returned if lost.

Mississinewa Community Schools partners with Boomerang Backpacks to offer a supply of meals and snacks for our students to take home each Friday to have over the weekend while they are not in school receiving school meals. The program is free of charge and is intended for any students who are food insecure at home. If you feel your student could benefit from this program, we encourage you to fill out a form in the school office today. Weather delays and cancellations will be sent out via phone from Superintendent Fewell. If your phone number changes during the school year, please update it with the school office or with Blackboard Connect through the Administration Office. The link to sign up is below.
