GARDEN UPDATE
We have a Community Garden Workday scheduled for Sunday, September 28 from 9am -12 pm in the garden north of the school’s main entrance. EVERYONE is welcome! We need help cleaning up the garden, weeding, digging beds for new plantings, and watering trees and new shrubs around campus. Bring a water bottle + gloves and a spade to dig out weeds and plant seeds.
We gladly accept plant, sapling, and tree donations! Did you notice the three new crape myrtles planted next to the main entrance? They were donated by a parent who found them on sale at HEB for less than $7! They’re small now but will grow about 12 inches per year until about 15’ tall. They were planted to replace the Ash tree that was badly damaged by a winter storm.
If you have overgrown plants or new saplings in your yard that you want to share, please dig or divide them up and email garden@purplesagepta.org. We will take them off your hands and put them to use on campus. We especially love white and purple-flowering perennials or trees (or flora with dark purple-ish leaves) to go with Purple Sage Elementary’s colors.
Reflections 2024
Students should download the Program Rules to ensure their art meets the requirements for each art category. Each entry must be accompanied by a completed Student Entry form.
Perform a dance, make a video, write a poem or story, take a picture, create art, or compose a song showing your interpretation of “Accepting Imperfection”

October 25th - Hard deadline for Reflections entry submissions (deadline extended only to PTA members in attendance of October 21, 2024 PTA meeting)
