Leadership Team message from Bhairavi
Hapaitia te ara tika pūmau ai te rangatiratanga mō ngā uri whakatipu
Foster the pathway of knowledge to strength,
independence and growth for future generations
Tēnā koutou katoa,
It is hard to believe that we are nearly halfway through this term and will soon be counting the days until the holidays. It is so pleasing to see excited and motivated tamariki all around the school, exploring different learning experiences and developing a range of skills to become a 21st-century learner. Our kaiako are busy assessing our ākonga and analysing the achievement data for writing the end of year report.
It feels like the summer is finally here, and our tamariki are making the most of this time of the year. Our newly renovated swimming pools are buzzing with happy voices, and our fields are filled with our young athletes who are learning some crucial skills of athletics. On another note, our Mahi Tahi and Tuakana kaiako are working hard on organising the Year 5/6 camp. We are sure our tamariki will make many fun memories at the camp that they will cherish for a long time.
Remember to inform the office if your child is going to be away from school on family holidays for an extended period of time, and also, let the office know when your child will be back to school this year or in 2023.
Stay well, stay safe and be kind.
Ngā mihi
Nā

Travelwise
On Tuesday 8th November our Travelwise leaders went to the End of Year Travelwise celebration held at The Cloud in Queens Wharf.
They had a lot of fun going on a big scavenger hunt down the waterfront, going inside the Maritime museum and doing lots of travelwise activities.
A big congratulations to our Travelwise team for bringing home another gold award for our school, this wouldn’t be possible without the support of our community.
Our new office staff
For those who haven't visited the office recently, come in to meet the team.

Do you have a spare room and need some extra money for next year?
Edendale has been lucky enough to secure a Mandarin language assistant to work at the school in 2023.
This person is needing some accommodation for the year, a bedroom preferably in the school community. The amount payable is around $350.00.
If you would be interested in hosting this person please email jonathanj@edendale.school.nz
Hats and water bottles
Please remember during our summer terms, students are required to wear hats/caps and to bring their water bottle to school.
Hats and caps are available to purchase from the school office or on Kindo.
New stock just arrived... purchase on Kindo or at reception
STEAM
Our STEAM programme is looking for donations of floating items like pool noodles or kickboards for a project we are doing.
If you have anything available or similar, please let Jamie know on jamie@edendale.school.nz or please drop off to the office. Thank you.
It’s back, it’s always great fun, it’s the Disco!!!
Thursday 17th November
This year it will be one event for all ages. The House Captains are working hard on this year’s theme, so please look out for more communication very soon.
We are also looking for lots of help… we’ll need volunteers on the night, and we are trying out a new volunteering tool to share the load.
We are also looking for parents or businesses willing to sponsor items for the Disco.
The next PTA meeting will focus on final disco prep and is on 10th November @ 7:00pm in the School, or with a link for anyone who can’t make it in. Contact us on pta@edendale.school.nz if you would like to join us this evening.
Also put the date of the AGM in your calendars… it’s the final meeting of the year and will be held on Thursday 1st December at 7pm. We will elect next year’s key roles and discuss ideas for events. Everyone is welcome, it’s a great chance to see what we are all about.
If you would like to talk about any of our roles, or the PTA in general, please get in touch with Roni for a chat, 021 454 882 or ronineeley@gmail.com.
