Hello, Jaguar Family!

We hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Our students and staff transitioned into the start of the second semester with ease this last week. Besides being a little sleepy on the first day back, our students appeared eager to be back and jumped right into learning. It was nice to see so many smiling faces!

We look forward to another semester of partnering with parents to ensure all students are successful. If ever you need assistance or have questions, our teaching staff and support staff are eager to help. Let's make it a great semester - together we can accomplish a lot!

I would like to give a special thanks to the teachers who volunteered to come in before their contract hours to be able to open up the cafeteria so that students had a warm place to wait on the mornings with below freezing temperatures.

Special thanks to Mr. Bartley, Mrs. DelPropost, Mrs. Price, Mr. Gerhardstein, Mr. Hendrick, Mr. Fergison, Ms. Galvan, and Mrs. Eaves!

Because we do not anticipate below freezing temperatures, we will resume our regular morning arrival plan this week. Our doors will open at 7:45am and students will report to their designated waiting areas.

Jaguar Boys Basketball vs Deerpark December 18th 2024:

All 4 boys Jaguar Basketball teams won their respective games vs DeerPark MS!

7th grade A team got their first win of the season with a score of 51 to 49. Players of the game were K. Liburd and J. Eguia

7th grade B team won their game with a score of 38 to 15. Players of the game were J. Manzo and B. Nicholson

8th grade A team beat the undefeated DeerPark team with a last minute 3 pointer from T. Louk with a total score of 53 to 52. Players of the game were T. Louk and N. Sajeev

8th grade B team won their game with a score of 48 to 26. Players of the game were A. Toshniwal and T. Olson

Way to go, Jaguars!

The Lady Jags took on the Deerpark Rangers on December 16th at McNeil HS. Below are the scores for each team:

7B: 40-0

7A: 37-17

8B: 42-19

8A: 47-36

There are two district games left in the season, but as of now the overall record for each team is the following:

7B: 5-1

7A: 4-2

8B: 6-0

8A: 5-1

On January 17th, the World Language Department will be hosting the Annual Multicultural Fair! It's our fun day of multiculturalism!

As in the past, the 6th grade World Cultures classes will visit French and Spanish classrooms to enjoy short cultural lessons, then visit the library for a scavenger hunt of knowledge. They will also get to pick a few treats and view a variety of performances showcasing student talents in the library.

Testing will take place in an assigned testing room. Students will need to check the posted list to know where they will be testing. Lists will be posted in the days leading up to testing.

Students should bring fully charged chromebooks for each day of testing.

MHS Advanced Academics Parent Night

Tryout meetings for the CeVMS Cheer Team will be held on Wednesday, January 9th, 2025 and Tuesday, January 14th at 6:00 pm in the lecture hall.

If your student is interested, attendance at one of the meetings is mandatory.

We will go over expectations, the application process and calendar of events for the 25-26 school year.
