Welcome to the new school year!! Summertime goes by so quickly! We are so excited for the new school year!

We would like to welcome new faces we are seeing everywhere. We have several new staff members and several new families that have started the year! We hope you love Rome City and being a Roman as much as we do.

Each month I will send out a newsletter sharing events and various things that will be happening. I promise to keep it short and try to keep you informed.

For the beginning of the year, we already have several events happening. We look forward to this new year and seeing many families come through the doors.

We are excited to announce Rome City has been selected for a Lego Education grant! Our children will be building and creating all sorts of things. They will spend time with Mrs. Hermann, our librarian, during library learning how to build, create, code etc. We are so excited for this opportunity that we have made our first family title night all things Lego, Literacy, and STEM.

We look forward to a great year of building memories with our new Lego Education grant!

What squad(s) are you cheering for?

We have our building split into collaborative communities called Roman Squads. Each squad has a variety of grade level students as well as the entire staff.

Throughout the year we meet for Squad Days! During Squad Days we have different challenges, lessons, and community building happening. Our students and staff love squad days!

All students are required to wear their squad shirts on squad day. We have given all students a free shirt, either last year or new students will receive their squad shirt soon. We will reveal what squad the new students are on at our first Squad assembly .............

Many parents have asked if we will be selling more squad apparel! Be looking for information soon!

Overall, our goal for our squads is to make sure our students are creating a sense of community with each other, building great memories and having healthy, friendly competition.

Parent Action Committee - August 15, 2024

• Please join us at 8:30 a.m. for our first parent meeting of the year!
• We are excited to plan events, learn about the school, and help support anything possible for the kiddos and staff.

Fundraiser Kick off day! August 16, 2024

• We really need support with raising money for our school! We use this money to help pay for events and various things for our students!

First Assembly and First Day to wear Squad Shirts! If you are new to Rome City, you will receive and be announced in your Squad this day!!
