Naiades Oncology Rowing

Naiades coaches and crew are joining with Genesee Waterways to provide interested individuals the opportunity to learn and practice the rowing technique on an erg (rowing machine). We are so very happy to introduce you to Stephanie Lipari our newest coach.

Stephanie started her rowing career at Fairport Crew when she was in 8th grade. Stephanie quickly fell in love with the sport so she decided to row varsity at Ithaca College. Stephanie rowed for Ithaca for her first three years at school in the bow seat and then had a back injury her junior year. For her senior year, Stephanie spent her fall semester coxing for their varsity men's 3V. After graduating college in 2018, Stephanie spent the summer coaching for Fairport's Adult Learn to Row program and loved every second of it.

Stephanie completed 2 years of Law School at UB Law and decided the law wasn't for her. So currently, Stephanie is working as a Healthcare Recruiter for the Boston healthcare at Actalent. Stephanie's other hobbies include doing yard work, fostering puppies, and traveling.

Stepanie is looking forward to getting to know everyone and teach us more about rowing!

Our Summer Rowing Session will start every Tuesday and Thursday beginning June 21st (for 8 weeks).

Our Learn to Row Program begins June 21st (for 6 weeks)! (Cost for this Learn to Row session once per week on Thursdays only is $108.)

The Naiades Oncology Rowing 10th Anniversary Golf Tournament is being held on August 21st, 2022 @ Lima Golf and Country Club:

It is a fun filled day on the course with many hole in one prizes including a new 2022 Hyundai sedan from Vision Hyundai of Canandaigua (2 year lease) and many other prizes!

Cost:

• 18 Holes, cart, lunch and dinner is $100.
• 9 Holes, cart, lunch and dinner is $75.

Scheduled for the day is :

• 10:00 AM Registration-all golfers must check in
• 11:00 AM Lunch
• 12 Noon Shotgun start
• 4:00 PM Music on Patio or inside banquet room, appetizers and cash bar
• 5:30 PM Dinner, Presentation and Awards

Naiades is searching for a coxswain on Thurs. evenings 5:45pm-7:45pm and backup coxswains on both Tues. and Thurs. evenings. Backup coxswains will be given as much notification as possible ahead of time and the Thurs. coxswain would be from June through October, if possible.

It was a great fun filled day for everyone. We got our boats out on the water and dressed to the nines in pink in support of the BCCR runners and walkers. Lots of cheering, friendly smiles, clapping, waving and loving support took place.

For donating his time, effort and bartending skills to raise funds for Naiades Oncology Rowing! Dr. Mike is one of the best bartenders in town!
