Cherry Drive Weekly Update

It is with great pride to share the news that we were able to support 30 families with Thanksgiving baskets due to the outpouring of generosity from our community. Our conference room, as you can see in the picture below, was overflowing. Thank you so much!

We also included some pictures of our Thanksgiving lunch yesterday. It was great to see many family members join us for a delicious meal. Have a wonderful break!

Please read below about an opportunity to support families for the holidays. We have close to 50 children - students and siblings - that we are sponsoring with holiday gifts. Directions for how to sponsor one or more children by "window shopping" at the office can be found here in English and here in Spanish.

Once you have selected a student(s) to sponsor, the next steps for what to spend, when to return gifts, etc can be found here in English and Spanish. All information about students being sponsored is anonymous. There are a lot of students left so feel free to stop by the office anytime if you want to select a student. Thank you in advance for your continued support of our families.

School choice for the 2025-26 school year opens on December 1.

New for the 2025-2026 Choice School Process

• The first round of choice has been condensed. Open from December 1 through January 2
• All applications received are considered together in the same random lottery

• This condensed window allows families to find out if they've received their first choice sooner

• All families are notified the 1st week of February and must accept their school placement within 5 days of receiving the letter

Preschool Registration for the 25-26 school year starts on December 1st! If you want priority placement for your returning or new preschooler, please visit the Adams 12 Preschool website starting 12/1 to fill out a pre-registration form. Universal Preschool (UPK) applications open on December 17th. This will be the second step in completing your enrollment for next year, so keep this date on your calendar! Please share this information with anyone you know in our area who has a preschool aged student for next school year!
