Imagine-Chancellor Chargers
October 2024 Newsletter
Every Charger. Every Day. Whatever it Takes.
Dear Imagine-Chancellor Families,
As we move into October, we continue to focus on the importance of building strong character within our school community. This month, we are highlighting the strengths of Respect, Open-Mindedness, Social Intelligence, Perspective, and understanding that our words and actions affect others. These are key character strengths we aim to foster in all our students to help them become empathetic, thoughtful, and responsible individuals.
We are also excited to bring our community together at this month’s Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat! This annual event provides a wonderful opportunity for our families to interact, have fun, and strengthen the connections that make our school such a special place. It’s always a joy to see the creativity and camaraderie that our Charger families share.
In everything we do, we continue to reinforce our school's core values of "Always Being A Charger":
- Caring
- Honest
- Accountable
- Respectful
- Grateful
- Empathetic
- Responsible
These values guide our everyday actions and interactions, creating a positive and nurturing environment for learning. I encourage you to discuss these values with your child and consider how they can be applied both at school and at home. Together, we can continue to support the development of well-rounded, compassionate young people.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. I look forward to seeing many of you at the Fall Festival!
With much love and appreciation,
Ms. Standley
Principal
Dear Families,
Get ready—the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school! This is a great opportunity to connect
with your child over the thrill of bringing home new books to dive into again and again. Studies show
that kids read more when they choose books for themselves. And fostering a love of independent
reading leads to a wide variety of benefits—including academic success and improved mental health.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Book Fair:
Dates: October 7th -18th (Last shopping day is the 17th )
Location: Media Center
There’s even more info on our school’s Book Fair homepage:
https://www.scholastic.com/bf/imaginechancellor
While you’re there, set up a Book Fair eWallet, the digital payment account that allows your child to
shop for books at the Fair without cash. Then share your eWallet link so friends and extended family
can add funds.
When you fund an eWallet, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a giving initiative called
Share the Fair™. Your contributions directly support our students who need help buying books
from the Fair.
Many of us still remember the rush of finding the perfect book at a Scholastic Book Fair. I hope you’ll join your child at our school’s Fair and share a reading experience they’ll remember forever.
Happy reading,
Stephanie Standley
Principal
Imagine Chancellor
PS: Need one more reason to visit the Book Fair? Every purchase at the Fair benefits our school!
