Dear Bobcat Families,

Thank you for making the BJH Teacher & Staff Appreciation week amazing! The gifts, cards and kind words meant a lot to the staff. The BJH staff was also showered with daily gifts from our ASB and a special breakfast from our NJHS students. Staff enjoyed ice cream sundaes on another day as well. We ended the week with a delicious lunch from our PTO.

CAASPP testing took place last week. This week is CAASPP make-up testing. Students will have an opportunity to finish testing if they were absent or need more time. On Monday, 8th grade students will take the California Science Test (CST) in the same classes they tested in last week. Our 7th grade students will stay in their testing classrooms and will do various activities during the testing window on Monday.

8th Grade Parents: Promotion ceremony is coming up at the end of May. Information with specific details will be provided to families. There is a flyer below with general information.

Lastly, the month of May is Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month. This is a month where we recognize the contributions of Asian American and Pacific Islanders to music, art, academics, etc. Look for an informational video in the weekly newsletter each week.

Join Brea Education Foundation (BEF) for the Eighth Annual Golf Tournament supporting Brea Olinda Unified School District students. The event is a fundraiser to support all schools in Brea and BEF is entirely volunteer-run so all proceeds raised go directly to support students. Early registration pricing ends April 30
