GOOD THINGS
Greetings from the Art Lab!!
I want to take a moment to recognize fifth grader Nicole Lackey for winning “Best of Show” for elementary in the Music in Pictures art show held by the Rosemary Beach Foundation.
Her work and the other 19 entries will be shown throughout Walton County. Check out where you can find those art locations by click on the PDF file below.
Way to go Nicole!
Literacy Night was inescapably fun! Thank you everyone who made it out for this epic event!
Counsel of Houses students really ROCK!
Major shoutout to our Counsel of Houses students for welcoming in the Pre-K students from The Bay School to give them a special tour of our school! We are so proud of the young leaders they are becoming!
Girl Scout Troop 10302, based at Butler Elementary, donated cookie shipping cases to Mrs. Squires in the art lab for use in future projects. Girl Scouts are committed to using resources wisely and making the world a better place, and repurposing cardboard at the end of their cookie sale is a good start. Happy crafting, Bears!
Kids Heart Challenge Fundraiser Results
Our school raised over $22,000 for the American Heart Association during the Kids Heart Challenge in February! Thank you for being a heart hero!
*If you have a "Good Thing" you would like to share, please email Mrs. Michal and it will be added to our next newsletter.
