June 6, 2025
Dear CPS Families,
June is upon us and we celebrated our last school Friday together with a very well organized field day, thanks to Mr. Quartucci our Physical Education teacher. We want to take this time to thank the volunteers and our JMG friends from the middle school who took time out of their day to assist in making this day possible.
A quick reminder that in the first week in August we will be mailing out to families class placements and welcome letters for the 2025-2026 school year. We will be having step-up day next Wednesday as students will rotate through all of their potential classrooms for the upcoming school year. Students have or will be generating questions about their next grade and teachers will answer them.
Kahlie and I would like to thank all of the families for making our first year at CPS an incredible experience. We are looking forward to next year and growing with you and all of the CPS Dragons!
~Liz and Kahlie
Upcoming Important Dates
Tuesday, June 10th Budget Referendum Vote (All Day)
Thursday, June 12th Last Student Seat Day (Noon Dismissal)
Mr. Nate Tompkins our Art teacher painted this mural in our Dragon's Nest Cafe. Students and staff have commented on how amazing this piece of art looks and it is a beautiful addition to our cafeteria space. Thank you, Mr. Tompkins for making our space to eat bright and cheery!
Important Notice to Parents:
Please direct any email regarding student absences and/or student dismissals to your child's teacher AND to our CPS office staff, Bobbie Weymouth (bweymouth@rsu18.org) and Mae Slevinsky (mslevinsky@rsu18.org).
Please be sure to communicate any changes for end of day dismissal plans prior to 2:00pm so students can be sure to receive their notes.
Lost & Found
Our lost and found is full and the end of the school year is fast approaching! Please take a moment to see if anything belongs to your student(s).
πβ½π This is a reminder that there should be no balls or playground equipment coming to school with students! We thank you for your help with this! β½ππ
Update From the Nurse
Please review the health manual accessible via our schoolβs website for the full policy on when to stay home and when it is appropriate to return to school. A few key points are fevers, diarrhea and vomiting. Your child must be free of both without medication for 24 hours before returning to school.
We are also seeing students that are in need of a change of clothes for various reasons, so it would be helpful if they keep a seasonally appropriate change of clothes including socks in their backpacks daily.
