Hello to our spirited Northridge Grizzlies family!
Last week was truly exceptional at Northridge! We had a great Spirit Week, where our hallways buzzed with creativity as numerous students and staff members dressed up and participated in the fun. The Parent-Teacher Conferences provided a wonderful opportunity for us to come together, discuss, and celebrate our students' progress.
But the highlight had to be our Trick or Treat Street! Welcoming the community into our school was a heartwarming experience. The LULAC haunted house provided spine-chilling thrills while our school clubs generously handed out treats, ensuring smiles all around. It was a spectacular community event, and we're immensely proud of everyone who contributed to its success.
With all the energy and excitement from the past week, we’re sure everyone is looking forward to a restful four-day weekend. Remember, the school will be closed on Friday, October 27th, and Monday, October 30th.
We encourage everyone to use this time to relax, rejuvenate, and spend quality moments with loved ones. As we move forward, let’s keep this momentum going, ensuring the rest of the term is just as memorable. Let's keep the Grizzly spirit roaring!

D6 STUDENTS TO RECEIVE SCHOOL MEALS AT NO COST THIS SCHOOL YEAR.
Greeley-Evans School District 6 is excited to announce the participation in the Healthy School Meals for All program for breakfast and lunch. This means that all D6 students may eat school breakfast & lunch at no cost!
What does this mean for you?
Families, you no longer have to worry about filling out lengthy applications to qualify for free school meals. Every child in our 30+ schools across the Greeley-Evans community will automatically receive this incredible benefit, without needing to complete an application or other additional steps.
D6 School Benefits Application
While all students will receive meals at no cost, it is important for households to provide income information through the D6 School Benefits Application. This information is crucial for D6 to maintain full access to state and federal funding that supports school programs, after-school activities, and other benefits.
Additionally, qualifying households may have their school & athletic fees waived for the 2023-24 school year.
Let's Work Together
We believe that this program's success lies in collaboration between our school district and you, the parents. We encourage you to support and guide your children in making the most of this opportunity. We believe that healthy eating habits are best developed with your involvement, and together, we can empower our students to thrive.
Taking Advantage of Free School Meals
We strongly encourage all families to take full advantage of this opportunity for their children. Not only do free school meals help alleviate financial burdens, but they will also help in promoting a healthier and more focused learning environment for our students to thrive and succeed.
You can stay informed about the meals being offered at your child's school by viewing their menu & nutritional information. This will provide you with a detailed look at the delicious and nutritious meals prepared by our talented school nutrition team.
Simply use the filter options to select your student's school & type of menu.
Promoting Healthy Eating Habits
Greeley-Evans School District 6 Nutrition Services is committed to promoting healthy eating habits among our students. By providing free school meals, we aim to ensure that every child has access to nutritious food options that contribute to their overall well-being and academic success.
DISTRICT 6 IS PLEASED TO WELCOME VOLUNTEERS BACK INTO OUR BUILDINGS.
The INFINITE CAMPUS PARENT PORTAL is a confidential and secure web site and mobile app that allows parents real-time access to important announcements, assignments, attendance, grades and more. Within the portal, parents can update household information such as phone numbers, email addresses, and non-household/emergency contacts. The mobile app will send alerts on assignments, attendance, and grades.
Please use this link to access additional infinite campus resources!
Read! Read! Read!
In order for students to see growth and more challenging reading activities, they must in a month's time perform at 75% or higher on a minimum of 4 activities. This acheivement will increase their reading levels and provide a harder challenge the following month.
We encourage all of our students to do their best while working in this program as improved reading levels allow for more success in all other content areas, help students meet their graduation requirements, and improve their chances for success in their future jobs/careers.
