Team 3 Spotlight Students!
Meet your Team 3 Spotlight Students for February!
Ireland Wild
Ireland's short-term goal is to get good grades this year. Her long-term goals are to become a fashion designer and own her own business. She has a great entrepreneur mindset!
Ireland is currently reading about the Underground Railroad. Her favorite subject is Math because it is challenging for her.
Ms. Cabrera inspires Ireland because she helps her when she is struggling and she allows her to do extra work to bring up her grade.
Great job, Ireland! We are proud to have you on Team 3!
Brianda Pena Belliard
Brianda's goals are to become a police officer or a teacher. She also wants to make her family proud by doing well in school and studying hard.
Brianda is currently reading a Luca book. Her favorite subjects are Math and Social Studies. The teachers that inspire her are Ms. Cabrera and Mr. Brace. She likes them both because they they help her understand the concepts she doesn't know. They are also kind and patient with her. She likes how they both like to have fun and adds, "they are the best teachers [she] has ever met."
February Course Updates
Math: In Math class, we are figuring out all of the letters and variables that are appearing in our math problems. Solving equations is something new for many students but will be used in math classes for many years to come.
Science:
Social Studies: In Social Studies, we are beginning the unit on Ancient Israel by learning about the struggles that the Jewish people have faced and how they were able to escape slavery in Egypt. This unit will help students understand the foundations of religion and traditions for Christianity and Judaism.
