TexQuest Provider Updates
Britannica
The Britannica elementary and middle school products were recently updated. The high school product will soon receive the same update!. These updates are designed to enhance the user experience while maintaining the same trusted, high-quality content Britannica is known for. Take a sneak peek of the update by visiting the product update announcement.
Everyone, and we mean EVERYONE, is in love with the new educator support site from Britannica. On this site, you will find:
- Lesson Minis: Step-by-step lessons that promote personalized learning and boost engagement.

Gale
As usual, the Gale team has been busy updating and adding content to our Gale resources. Updates include:
- Four more languages, for a total of 61, including Lao, Punjabi, Tamil, and Maori have been added to the translation tool.
- ReadSpeaker updates include a more natural-sounding voice and faster load times.
- Additional Primary Source and Historical Document sets have been added to the author pages in Gale Literature Resource Center.

Learn360
The staff at Learn360 recently added more content to their provider support page.
In addition, new titles have been added to Learn360 from producers such as PBS, Makematic, Educational Voice, and PowerSplash Project. Visit the link to view recently added titles.
ProQuest SIRS Discoverer
Recent updates to ProQuest content:
- 529 articles, graphics, and images, with publication dates later than October 8, 2024. This includes both new documents and updates to proprietary documents.
- Mitchell Lane titles on individuals such as Sonia Sotomayor, John Herrington, Serena Williams, and more.
- 10 downloadable titles: All full-text, HTML, and PDF formats
TeachingBooks
Our TeachingBooks team has recently added Interactive Flyers and Activities to their Teaching Ideas section under For Educators. The flyers and activities are perfect for class discussions, reading interest inspiration, and supporting connections to books and authors. Be sure to take a look for some ready-made ideas!
In addition, they added Instructional Routine lessons inspired by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Explore explicit and systematic instructional routines that guide emergent readers to recognize, think about, and manipulate the individual sounds that make up spoken words. These easy-to-implement routines help establish a fundamental foundation for decoding and encoding written language.

Curriculum Connections, Winter 2024/2025
TexQuest Program
TexQuest is a statewide digital resources program that provides anytime, anywhere access to high-quality, authoritative digital resources to all educators, students, and students' immediate families in Texas K-12 public schools and open-enrollment charter schools. Supported, in part, by appropriations from the Texas State Legislature, Texas districts pay a small per-student membership fee to gain access to TexQuest resources from the providers listed on this page.
The Texas State Library and Archives Commission administers all aspects of the TexQuest program and is responsible for the selection and coordination of all TexQuest resources, as well as district invoicing.
Education Service Center, Region 20 serves as the TexQuest Support Center and is responsible for the help desk, technical assistance, outreach, communication, and training to support the program.
