News & Announcements
Eagles Around the District
Top Left: It was a classic case of "WhoDunIt?" and our Mountain View Middle School seventh-graders in Tanner Jones' and Sandy Baughman's English Language Arts classes were on the case. After reading the late author's work, students turned into investigators as they analyzed evidence, interrogated suspects, and developed an argument in their quest to determine who was responsible for the death of Edgar Allen Poe.
Top Middle: Mr. Josh Mueller takes his CV High School students on all kinds of adventures as part of his Adventure Ed class. As part of a recent class, instructors from Yellow Breeches Educational Center stopped by the pool to help our Eagles learn kayaking and canoeing techniques and skills. Mr. Mueller's courses certainly are lessons in confidence and problem-solving.
Top Right and Bottom Right: Lots of Leap Day activities took place around the district on February 29. Check out our Dragon friend and his special Leap Day hat in Mrs. Lindy Innerst's class at Hampden Elementary School (top). Our friend Jackson, from Monroe Elementary School, was celebrated by his classmates in honor of his Leap Year birthday.
Bottom left: Second-grade friends in Mrs. Zweiacher's class at Sporting Hill Elementary School had a glowing good time as they made lightning bugs out of water bottles and glow sticks. The activity was a culmination to their #CKLA insect unit.
Bottom middle: Fifth graders at Shaull Elementary School recently used the LAUNCH cycle to design, build, and play their own games in Mr. Willey's Explorations class. It's safe to say they definitely put their critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills to the test as part of this hands-on and engaging learning activity.
