The Week of October 28, 2024

The Week of June 9th, 2025
Greetings Husky Families!
The LAST weekly newsletter for the 2024-25 school year! And it begins with an endearing COMPLIMENT! This is from the Cambridge Premiere Cinemas Management:
"Thank you so much for your kind email! It truly warms us to know that you, your staff, and the students had a positive experience at our theater. We were also very impressed with your students' wonderful behavior and deeply appreciate the helpfulness of your accompanying staff. It would be our distinct pleasure to welcome your school back for another visit next year. We are always looking forward to hosting such enthusiastic and well-behaved groups. Please do keep us in mind when you are planning your activities for the next academic year."
A year in review, is up next! From the first page turned at our fall Book Fairs to the final round of applause at our Fifth Grade Promotion, this year has been full of learning, laughter, and lasting memories. This year also brought meaningful academic growth across all grade levels. Through rigorous instruction, creative learning experiences, and targeted support, our students made impressive strides in reading, math, and critical thinking. We are especially proud of how our learners rose to meet challenges and showed resilience and determination every step of the way. Their growth is a true reflection of the dedication of our teachers and the partnership of our families.
Our hallways came alive during Grandparents Day, as generations gathered to share stories, smiles, and cherished moments. The warmth and love felt that day reminded us just how special our school community truly is.
The Fifth Grade Field Trip to North Bay was another unforgettable highlight. Our students explored nature, embraced adventure, and learned valuable life lessons—all while building lasting bonds with classmates and teachers during their 4 overnights away from home. For some Huskies this was a first!
In November, our school family came together for a heartfelt Thanksgiving Luncheon. Sharing a meal with students, staff, and loved ones was a beautiful way to pause and reflect on the many things we’re thankful for.
Not long after, students raced across campus in a flurry of excitement for the Wild Goose Chase. The holiday season was made even brighter with our magical Breakfast with Santa, where students shared wish lists with the jolly man in red.
As spring bloomed, so did our creativity. The Spring Hat Parade is a well established tradition that we enjoy celebrating with our community. Our annual Art Show filled our gym with color, imagination, and joy, while the Spring Concert gave our talented students a chance to shine on stage, sharing music and memories with family and friends.
And now, we close the year by celebrating two important milestones: Pre-Kindergarten Promotion and Fifth Grade Promotion. These ceremonies mark both an ending and a new beginning, as our youngest learners take their first steps toward kindergarten and our fifth graders move confidently into the next chapter of their educational journey.
We are incredibly proud of everything our students have accomplished this year. Thank you to our dedicated staff, supportive families, and amazing students for making this school year one we’ll never forget. Here’s to a joyful, restful summer—and to all the adventures ahead!
