Save the Date! LEMS Dance- February 7th, 2025
Hello LEMS Students and Parents,
We will host our next dance on Friday, February 7th from 6pm-8pm.
Here are the “deets” (aka details) …
WHO CAN ATTEND: 6th , 7th , and 8th grade Lucile Erwin Middle School students who
present their student ID at the door. Students with 10+ tardies and/or ISS/OSS since the last dance will not be allowed to attend. Administation will notify students that are not able to attend.
ENTRY FEE: Cost is $5 with student ID
LOCATION: The dance will be held in the LEMS Cafeteria. Please line up in the front
courtyard (west side). When the doors open, we will check IDs and collect entry fee. Dance
will be in the cafeteria area only!! The gym, locker rooms, grade level pods, and hallways
will not be open. Students will use the restrooms in the PE hallway during the dance.
THEME: Valentine Dance … wear that red, pink, & “heart-themed” attire!!
WILL THERE BE CONCESSIONS?: YES!! … Water, Gatorade, Soda, and various other
snacks. Bring a few extra dollars if you would like some snacks at the dance. We will also
sell flowers and candy.
DRESS CODE: Casual dress … but many students do like to “dress up” a little more for
this dance. All other general dress code expectations will be enforced (i.e. … no alcohol,
tobacco, gang, or weapon references)
ARE WE ALLOWED OUTSIDE?: Once you enter the dance, you must remain inside.
You will not be able to go out to the courtyard and return to the dance. Depending on the
number in attendance and outside temperature, it could get be chilly so plan accordingly.
BACKPACKS, COATS, AND/OR LARGE PURSES: Please avoid bringing backpacks,
large coats, and/or large purses to the dance. If students arrive with any of these items, they
will be subject to search and storage in the front office until the conclusion of the dance.
This is not because we are mean … It is because we are trying to keep everyone safe. These
items have become huge tripping hazards in addition to other potential safety concerns.
If you have any additional questions, please contact Ms Theresa McCarthy
