New Coaching Candidate Interview Process
During Feb./Mar., Pasco County conducted a new interview process for coaching candidates to add to one or more of our candidate lists - ITC-ELA, ITC-Math, LDC.
This process involves candidates engaging in 3 tasks and an interview during a night at the District Office Complex.
The tasks and interview are designed based on Coaching Standards and include a teacher feedback task, group task, written task, and a brief interview. Furthermore, the tasks highlight responsibilities that instructional coaches engage in with their role.
Candidates are provided feedback on performance whether accepted or not.
Leadership Opportunities
Here are a couple of ways that YOU can grow your leadership related to Pasco County Coaching.

- Volunteer to share your coaching experiences with new coaches who are beginning the role and would benefit from guidance from established coaches. Email Leah Howell @ lzufall@pasco.k12.fl.us if interested.
Spotlight on Coach Scotty Carroll
What does he bring to his coach role?
Scotty is always innovative, practitioner-centered, & unconditionally loyal to his school teams. Scotty does what it takes to cultivate a community of learners by modeling innately human traits our world desperately needs, such as kindness, honesty, and compassion. He treats leadership as a gift and constantly reflects on how to build capacity for leadership at his schoolHow has he made an impact at his CENMS?
Scotty took his role to another level in supporting teachers. He did this by creating a structure for Learning Walks through Pineappling. He took learning about the Instructional Practice Guide and Core Actions to a level that not only impacted teacher and student learning, but shifted culture.
