Dear Dayton Families,
On behalf of the entire Dayton staff, welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! We are eager to work with you and look forward to serving all of our students and families.
We invite all students, parents/guardians to our Open House on Wednesday, August 28th. We encourage families with the last names A-K to visit from 4:30–5:15 and L-Z to come from 5:15–6:00 to accommodate parking and to ease congestion around the school. (We rotate times each year.)
4:30-5:15 PM - Families with the last names A-K
5:15-6:00 PM - Families with the last names L-Z
Our open house will give you the opportunity to:
Meet your child’s teacher and see their classroom
Bring your child’s school supplies (optional)
Other Important Back-to-School Information:
School starts for students in grades 1-5 on Tuesday, September 3. A special Kindergarten Welcome Week helps transition our youngest learners to school. More information below.

First Day of Kindergarten:

All students attend school on Monday, Sept. 9th.
The state’s Free School Meals program will cover the cost of one breakfast and one lunch meal for every student daily, the cost of a la carte items, such as milk, or extra meal items will not be covered. Students will need to have funds in their meal accounts to purchase any additional food items. We use SchoolPay for lunch accounts, field trips, recorders, book fines etc. Visit A-H Connect to make sure you can log in.
We look forward to seeing you at our Open House and working together for a rewarding school year.
Sincerely,
Jessica Wippler, Principal
