Outline of School Dates for 2024 - 2025

Monday, August 19: Classes begin for Pre-U.

Monday to Friday, August 26 to 30: Orientation Week for Grades K to 11: Staggered Start.

Tuesday, August 27: Grade 9 Staggered Start - Grade 9 students only.

Wednesday, August 28: Grade 10 Staggered Start - Grade 10 students only.

Thursday, August 29: Grade 11 Staggered Start - Grade 11 students only.

Thursday, August 29: Hockey Town Hall for M13-18 teams in Coristine Hall from 7:30-9pm.

Friday, August 30: Grades 9 - 11 first full day: Fantastic Friday - House Shirts & Activities Day!

Monday, September 2: Labour Day - School closed, no classes.

Wednesday, September 4: Gryphon Sale of gently used Selwyn House uniforms and clothing.

Thursday, September 12: School Picture Day.

Overview of the First Week of Senior School 2024 - 2025

Staggered Start Information:

Students will attend a grade-level specific day in the first week of school. Students should be wearing full school uniform, and Grade 10's and 11's should bring their laptops as they will need them for their workshops. Please pay close attention to the dates below:

• Grade 9 Day: Tuesday, August 27, 8:45 AM - 2:00 PM (meet in Coristine Hall)

• Grade 10 Day: Wednesday, August 28, 8:45 AM - 2:00 PM (meet in Coristine Hall)

• Grade 11 Day: Thursday, August 29, 8:45 AM - 2:00 PM (meet in Rossy Agora)

Fantastic Friday - House Shirts & Activities Day

On Friday, August 30, Senior School students will have a full day of house activities. Students should wear their house t-shirts, athletic bottoms and running shoes as they will be active all day.

School Supplies for 2024 - 2025:

Grade 9 Supply List: Click here for the Grade 9 Supply List required for Grade 9's for 2024 - 2025.

Grade 10 and Grade 11: There is no specific school supply list for Grade 10 & 11 students, as they may enroll in a variety of course options. Students choose their own general school supplies and should establish a method of keeping their school work organized. Students will be advised during the first week of school if a teacher requires something specific for his or her course.

Summer Reading: During the first few days of school, students will be tested to determine if they have completed their summer reading, please come prepared.

Laptops for 2024-2025: Grade 9-11 students will need to provide their own laptops. The laptop may be of any make or model. Students must have a laptop with them for class every day.

The laptop should meet these specifications:

School Bus Service for 2024-2025: Once again, Selwyn House will be offering a bus service for the upcoming school year. The areas serviced are: Nun's Island, West Island/Ville St-Laurent, Laval/TMR. and South Shore.
