SEL Goal
Ridgewood School will complete at least 25 paws on our school paw chart by keeping their hands, feet, and other objects to themselves, otherwise known as KYHFOOTY. When we reach our goal, we will celebrate with a movie and pajama party!
We met our goal!
On Tuesday, December 17th, each class within a grade level will be showing a different movie. Students will get to pick which movie within the grade level they want to see. Students may wear pajamas to school on this day. Way to go everyone!!
Spirit Week
3rd & 4th Grade Winter Music Performance
Our Winter Music Performance for 3rd & 4th Grade is Friday, December 20th from 10:30-11:00 in the Glenview East Gym. To better align with district-wide programming and 3rd & 4th grade State performance standards, this years' winter program will feature performances from 3rd & 4th grades, rather than featuring the whole building. Thank you for your understanding.
Please see the attached flier for more information, including where to enter Glenview for the performance.
Mrs. Foss, Elementary Music Teacher
Winter Parties
On Friday, December 20th, 1st-4th grade levels will be having winter parties. Kindergarten is doing fun winter themed stations all week instead of one big party on Friday. Party times on Friday are varied based on the teacher. Information regarding individual classroom parties will be shared by classroom teachers. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions. If your child is bringing a snack for the party, please follow the district wellness/snack policy located on the EMSD website.
3rd Grade Field Trip
3rd Grade students went on a field trip to the Nutcracker Ballet. They had a great time!
Winter Weather
Winter Break
Winter break will take place from December 23rd-January 3rd. School will resume on January 6th.
Visiting Artist
On Friday, January 17th, we will have a Visiting Artist at Ridgewood. We will have an assembly where Chicago Dance Crash will put on a performance/demonstration.
Drop Off and Pick Up Reminders
When dropping off and picking up your child in the drop off/pick up lane, please stay in your car so that the car line keeps moving. If you are looking to get out of your car, please park in an available spot or along the street. Please do not pass along the left side after you have dropped off or picked up your child. This can be dangerous, as we have students that could be crossing in the crosswalk or students that could be getting out of vehicles. Thank you for your cooperation!
